Redwing
I am a phone numpty and have no idea what I can use this phone for beyond music, movies and bubble wrap popping What is your iphone 'must have' app please?
MarkBevBen
I haven't got one yet Redwing, apparently I can have one with my contract in February. My hubby has one and I must admit I like to use it whilst we're out and about for the internet - even coming on here too! Hubby's iphone has a kind of 'sat nav' thing, which has certainly helped us out when we've been a bit lost trying to find places!
The Dogmother
not one that I can answer as I only use mine for phoning. Don't leave this one in the glovebox though!

Christian
Go to the apps store and do a search for - Sleeps til Christmas lite - funky elf who counts down the days! emoji free - for cute pictures to send with texts Free wifi finder Harbour master lite - very addictive game! Opera mini - a different browser if Safari is playing up. Pic2shop - you can scan bar codes and it will tell you where the cheapest shop is that sells the item! All of the above are free, I refuse to pay extra for them! Happy playing with your new phone. It took me a while to change from Nokia, but I love it now! C&T
Is it the right thickness to go under the dining room table leg to stop it wobbling???? Sorry.... I haven't caught up with the 21st century yet. Don't even have a facebook account.... My mobile is "functional" - i.e. small, can make/receive calls and texts - not even any pictures! Have fun playing though!

Has me and the boys in hysterics every time Planets - free. Names the stars you can see at that particular time of day and various other things (OH won't let me play so I haven't explored it fully yet )

Goosey Lucy
Alchemy. Hubby had it for his android. It's free http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/alchemy/id376205543?mt=8 He became totally addicted (and so did I )
PurpleTree
The Facebook app and Echofon - Twitter app, I use all the time. I've really got into Twitter since getting my iPhone. I use the camera lots on mine and use camerabag and quadcam to make them more interesting. Hubby has taken some really fab photos on his. I quite often take a pic then email it straight to hubby so he can see what we're up to. Game wise, I like wordy ones like Scrabble. There's a chicken one called Chicktionary which is fun. If you set up Games Centre you can make friends with other people you know with it and challenge at certain games that you both own. Flight Control and Pacman are two good ones on that. I use the iPod a lot on mine too as you don't headphones and it plays quite loud. I've downloaded quite a few free books into the iBooks app too, means you've always got a book with you. Redwing
Thank you everyone, lots of good things there most of which I now have on my iphone The winner has to be Smacktalk though, absolutely hilarious and had us both in fits of laughter especially when we got the dog to bark in to it - all our laughs were repeated back to us too making us even more hysterical I also have an app called Picknchickn which helps you select the right chicken breed for you with a pic of each breed and details of egg colour, temprement etc.. stoice
I'm addicted to geo-defense and geo-defense swarm (US spelling) Angry birds is frustrating as it now says i have go back and three stars on every game and it feels impossible to complete. Scrabble is a must and a chicken word game called chicktionary is pretty fun too. Also loved a pinball type game called peggle and my OH loves space cows. Love the fact that the game are a fraction of the price of some games console yet still provide hours of entertainment.

Jennifer Jane
Angry birds - I have it on my Android phone...hysterical I have a new android phone and my brother in law told me about this at a family wedding recently (ok, I had had a drink or two). Anyway I googled it and got some dodgy websites . Told bil about this next time I saw him - turns out I had misremembered and googled "crazy" instead of "angry". No wonder... Despite working in IT for many years, I am not very technical, so am going back to the shop tomorrow to find out exactly what I can do with my new toy. Tiggy
I have sat nav on mine, its great, takes a lot of juice out of it though, but I have an in- car charger that also acts as the cradle & hands free
Olly
Ah, Tiggy I was going to ask this question - which one, do you have TomTom? I really want to get a sat-nav as my other one has 'died', and part of the justification for getting the iPhone was that then I wouldn't have to pay out for a separate sat-nav. It's an expensive app (in comparison with most of them) and I want to make sure I get the right one. Do you need a separate GPS receiver?
