Yep work over for another week  time to party - ok time to do all those exciting things you couldnt do all week

1 Build the new chair purchased on Ebay - cue for divorce papers to be served as OH and I normally come to blows over BIY jobs (bodgeit yourself) Hes never forgiven me for hitting him in the face with a plank of wood when heavily pregnant many years ago (accidental of course) no harm done but I giggled which didnt help

2 Build new cold frame - this I will do alone helped by the girls

3 Clean out Eglu - usually done Sunday so it lasts till my day off on Thurs when I do it to.

What joy, what an exciting life I lead.

I have that rare thing for me - a free weekend, when I don't have any charity things/duty visits/shopping or anything else. Friend is coming to tea on Saturday (Rick Stein's Chinese Spiced Pork Belly), and that's IT!

I've got various chores to do including cleaning the hens out, might do a bit of pruning if it's not too wet, otherwise I am going to carry on as I started the New Year and turn out another cupboard, drawer or storage box - 2011 is the year I get organised!

DD is playing football in the morning and then will have indoor cricket on Sunday afternoon. DS is still getting over sinusitis so hopefully won't be needing too much taxi driving around as he is still feeling quite weak.

I am hoping that my back will be sufficiently strong for some eglu cleaning. Need to sort out a few details with friends about our forthcoming ski holiday and we have a quiz night on Saturday.

Assuming my back continues its improvement, I am quite looking forward to this weekend :)

A weekend off work for me and tomorrow we're going to buy the first few fish for Mollys new 120 litre tropical fish tank  Molly is so excited, she adores her fish. The new tank is in the living room and looks amazing. We're all really pleased with it. She's moved one fish in already because he was getting too big for our other tank. The foster kittens think it's great  They could sit and watch him for hours

May have to adopt the BIY idea! It was buidling a chest of drawers from Ikea that did my back in last weekend. No divorce because I did it on my own!

I'm taking a group of Brownies on a trip to our local Children's Hospice where we are getting a guided tour. It will be, I imagine, a thought provoking and humbling experience. We have been invited following a very successful sponsored silence. (Excellent way to spend an evening!)

I will be up early to let out the chooks after merging the two groups into to the WIR and cube tonight.

Grandchildren will come over tomorrow, I plan to go out in the garden so the girls can FR, also need to clean out the cube and eglu.

On Sunday I am doing archery coaching.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you are doing.

I will bravely go into my greenhouse which is still full of skeletal mouldy tomato plants that need to be cleared away and then the greenhouse needs a good scrub and some fresh soil. It looks really creepy in there at the moment :anxious::vom:

I can't tell you how much it's gladdened my heart to read that! So I'm not the only one!

Off on a motorbike ride with OH down to Dymchurch where we are selling our static caravan today :( then we are going to ride out to Rye for a coffee and then on to Biddenden to find a winery there. We've found one in Tenterden which does a rather nice rose and sparkling wine (Chapel Down). We had tried a bottle of wine from both of these places at a wine tasting in London and thought we'd have a look round and maybe buy a bottle or two. :D

The rest of the weekend will be spent doing all the normal sort of things.

We are busy printing & putting together books for our 2011 caravanning rallies. Already done 30 last weekend, so only got 20 more to do today. Printing almost done - just got to guillotine, punch & bind them all.

Then going out for a meal to celebrate that they're done.

I've also got some knitting & sewing planned - oh & some baking. :D

Plum - I have gone off you - Canaries indeed.

You know days off are for resting but it seems the Omleteers have other ideas. I also have skeletal tomato plants on the patio - and there they will stay till I have the motivation to bin the darn things.

Had lie in - loooovely, no alarm what joy - tea in bed - ironed a small mountain of clothes, cleaned out bun put a wash on. Have a headache and feel a bit sweaty and clammy :vom: hope I'm not going down with lurgy. But a womans work is never done. OH and boys out what bliss - will make some soup and listen to radio 4 - girls FR. Have a nice W/E everyone

I'm a Tawny Owl! There's no way my girl's could do a sponsored silence.... :( I have one girl with ADHD and one with a receptive language disorder, which means she presents as autistic.....no quiet, let alone silence!

Well i have built my chair after poor instructions and advice from OH which I didnt need  I had built frame on my own and had ommitted one bit and so I get a lecture this from a man who frankly isnt the worlds best at DIY only BIY. I asked him if he wanted a smack round the head with a plank of wood - he declined my kin offer.Item image

So all my Christmas money has gone on an Argos chair (£20 cheaper on Ebay) - I would've liked something more expensive but couldnt stretch so this will have to do till i win the lottery

I did have steaming the wood chip out of Imogen's new room on the list, but as we have someone staying in there at the mo, it might be a little anti-social! So I've added some more feeders and drinkers to the WIR, cleared out the sleeping boxes, built and added a new ladder to the roof sleeping space for the slightly dim ex-batts and shoved them all in together. Tomorrow's job is to clean the lean to conservatory they've been living in for two months - not been done properly for two weeks, so is rank. OH keeps muttering about the Augean stables. I keep muttering about heavily pregnant women having to do all the physical work around the house, with dark looks towards the two solid wood built in wardrobes I dismantled, carried downstairs and stashed in the garage until I have enough of a load to call the rubbish men out. Anyhoo, I also have my usual weekend laundry to do, but that's it. Pretty quiet weekend after a busy week. I'm going to go and look at wallpaper tomorow for Imogen's room, and stock up on layers pellets, corn and catfood. The endless glamour.
