patsylabrador
The chickens call me at around 8am every day whatever the light levels but that's going to be 7am now.
Lavenders_Blue
Crikey, that means the dog will start pestering for a walk about 5.30am!
Space Chick
I hate it when the clocks go back, as by the time I get home from work the hens are in bed Will only have proper time with them on the weekend now
LolaLayla
It is so dark here now in the mornings. I arrived at the gym 2 days ago at 9am with my headlights on (they automatically judge if it is dark enough to be needed) I also don't like letting the girls out to free range when it is not fully daylight so they end up staying in longer in the morning. It will be great to get light earlier in the morning but I know it is not good for some. It is amazing how different it can be from one part of the country to another

chickencam
Maybe the title of this thread should read .....Clucks go back? The problem is that they don't and neither do children, I hated this time of year when I had little ones, they don't shift their clocks with quite so much ease and neither do my girls Having said that I am looking forward to my extra hour now that I have sleepy teens
Sammiboo
I feel really bad about the chickens not able to FR when i get home from work. Although now i feel i will have to compensate them over the weekend and stay at home so i can let them out. Its getting quite miserable weatherwise in mid sunny wales at the moment

ali-s
It is getting dark here already. The Chickens went into the cube half an hour ago.
chickencam
It was dark enought to put the light on at 4.30pm yesterday and it is very dreary and dark here this morning too, having said that it felt marginally better getting up at 7am this morning because it was still 8am on my body clock. chickencam
I have just been out to give the chooks their corn etc, it is so dark here I thought that they might have taken themselves to bed already. It is weirdly warm though but very damp.

craftyhunnypie
Have made sure I've given the chookies a bit of extra bedding since the clocks went back - getting colder here now & the wind off the mountain behind our house is bitter when it comes from that direction (East). I try to be outside with them as much as I can before it goes dark - lots of fuss & attention. They were all in bed tonight at 5pm, bless them! I don't mind it going dark early, as it means cozy fires, sat in your pj's doing crafts & drinking Wine. It also means that the weather will soon crisp up. Would much sooner have that than wet & windy! I find I have to make myself go for walks more when the clocks go back. Today I went for a walk at Cors Caron - the bog. It's a nature reserve place & beautiful..there's a website..look it up, it's beautiful! Emma.x
