It was murky and muggy here yesterday. Drizzled almost all day long.

It's brighter this morning so hoping to get some washing dried on the line later.

Really hot here again today, there is a breeze though. I have been doing more garden clearing ready for the later summer and autumn bedding. Hot work. Stuck in an office for the next week and a day, so making the most of it.

Despite the warnings of clouds and rain today, it has dawned with clear skies and sunshine, 17deg at the moment and really cool too.

A slightly nippy 9deg at 5.50am this morning, but it's stayed clear and is glorious now.

 

The men at work are off harvesting what's ready, so I can hear the combine in the distance, but all is still and peaceful *sighs*

Lovely bright morning here, although it has clouded over briefly. We are having the outside of our house painted this week so we hope that the weather holds, tomorrow doesn't look too good.

Fingers crossed for you Liz; The boy was up at the weekend and was painting the stonework on the outside of mine too, it looks really good so far, I hope to finish it this weekend.

Muggy, wet and dark since 4pm today, drove home with my lights on. Apparently it's going to rain until after the weekend, so that put's paid to any more harvesting until it has dried out

I've had the heating on for 45 minutes for the last two mornings!

We have woken to glorious sunshine in Gurensey this morning, hope it continues as we hope to sail to France tomorrow

Wet here overnight and this morning but quite muggy too. We had 350 sq metre of turf laid 6 weeks ago and I just want it to stop growing - I had to cut it again yesterday and it was a real struggle as I can't quite get it short enough to get it under control .

There's been light rain overnight, but not enough to make a difference to the garden, harvest is still stalled though.

 

Mild at 17deg first thing, very overcast and dark, damp too but no more rain just yet.

19deg, dark and wet first thing, rain has stopped now for a bit but we're predicted thunder later. I understand that it will be wet now through until Sunday, when it will clear for a hot and sunny week.

Miserable here in South Oxfordshire! ES has gone to a sports day today so sent him off with a mac and a towel (sympathetic, aren't I? )

 

Has obviously been belting down overnight too; feel sad for the farmers round here who started combining mid last week - bloomin' grain dryers cost a fortune to run!

 

Heavy rain forecast for tomorrow; we had planned to go to Baldon's Feast in the next village - big funfair/stalls/vintage cars/food etc. Hope the rain holds off after all the hard wok organising.

Wet here this morning too, had rained over night. It has stopped now and looks brighter but I think we may get some more.

 

I hope it is dry this weekend as I have a busy weekend of archery, shooting tomorrow and judging on Sunday.
