chickencam
This is a picture of my beautiful ED with her proud dad at her prom last night, it was drizzling when she arrived, the real rain didn't start until about half an hour later fortunately. She went in our 23 year old Volvo estate which she spent all day washing and vacuuming, DS said aren't girls supposed to wash and polish themselves not the car on prom day, but I think she has scrubbed up pretty well too. I will upload a photo of the car too when I have taken it off my camera, the battery died before I could do it.

Seagazer
She looks gorgeous Liz and your hubby looks mighty smart and proud too! I really wish they'd had proms when I was at school, its so nice for the girls to get all dressed up. I can still remember my DD getting all spruced up, driving her to her friends where they all met up and then into a limo. They all looked so lovely. Its a lovely thing for them to remember at the end of their school days.

chickencam
This is the best we have of the car so far the other ones are on the other camera, and this is a photo of ED and YD in the back of the car. She bought the dress about 18 months ago in a charity shop for £15, it is lovely and really suits her, the ribbon on the car was the same colour. I just love this colour. chickencam
The mask was a lucky ebay purchase, she nearly missed it and they normally go for £30 or so and she got hers for £10, she said that most people didn't really bother with the masks which was a shame. chickencam
There was a prom feature on BBC Breakfast this morning, parents spend as much as £500 on their daughter's prom, it is crazy and many of these were year 11 proms not even year 13. Some were describing it as a mini wedding.
The Dogmother
It's all a bit gypsy weddings at times, isn't it? There was an article in the press last week about the amount of money some folks spend; one girl was flown in by helicopter. Much to my relief Rosie has said that she'd prefer to get out of the back of the Berlingo, holding two sighthounds Phil's friend owns a Maserati so that's an option, I can also get my hands on a tractor. chickencam
There was a girl who arrived in a huge green tractor at Becca's prom, she got a big cheer.
chickencam
http://www.flickr.com/photos/78401407@N08/ Finally a better picture of the car, we had to buy a card reader because our old camera uses cards and the modern laptop and printer we have don't read them. She is back to reality now, she cleaned the office last night and is covering for OH's secretary today.
