Ain't Nobody Here

New York, here I come! There I went!

Have a fab time! Sure you will. I keep saying I'll take hubby there as I've been & he's not. I know he'd love it.

Some of the street food is fantastic! :D Oh & just stop for a minute & look up at some of the skys"Ooops, word censored!"ers & rooftops. It's a different world - sometimes there are amazing roof gardens & the sheer height of the sky s"Ooops, word censored!"ers - takes your breath away. It is wierd in Central Park as it can be so peaceful, when all around there is mayhem going on!

The portions are huuuuge - you might want to get into the habit of sharing!

Shopping is wonderful. I am truly..

Soak it all up ANH!

Safe Journey..

Well, that was the quickest 5 days ever  .

Had a brilliant time :D . Walked almost everywhere so we all had sore feet (but hopefully worked off a few calories  ).

We did:

- Top of the Rock (no queue at all :P ) - fabulous views 8)

- Staten Island Ferry - not a bad view of Statue of Liberty

- across Brooklyn Bridge and back (on the hottest day  ), had pizza and icecream for recovery purposes!

- 2 morning runs in Central Park - beautiful, something to see round every corner :)

- Natural History Museum - by accident arrived at 4.45 and got in free as it closed at 5.45 (whizzed round and saw enough!)

- 9/11 Memorial - stunning memorial, very moving and humbling

- Intrepid Air, Sea and Space Museum (including the space shuttle 8) ), set on an aircraft carrier. More for the boys but still enjoyable

- Chelsea High Line (a disused raised railwayline which has been landscaped and planted and is a really lovely walk

- long walk through Greenwich Village (really nice), Little Italy (nothing special) and Chinatown (great Chinese meal)

- Grand Central Terminal (stunning)

- walks up Broadway (not my cup of tea) and all the main shopping streets (mostly way out of my price range!)

- bought a nice top in Bloomingdales and some sports gear in Nike but that was it. The boys got some nice t-shirts and sports gear too.

Salisbury Hotel was really central, a bit shabby but clean and comfortable.
