Cate in NZ
Sorry, I've been abandoning the forum for a few days (busy elsewhere ) and now I'm leaping back on all full of excitement and nerves and itching to share my news with someone. Hubby and children are out and so it seems are the entire rest of my family and friends . So I'm inflicting my excitement on my good forum friends. But the letter arrived today.............. we've been approved by the New Zealand Immigration Service for Permanent Residence in NZ as skilled migrants There's no stopping us now- full steam ahead Very exciting, still a bit ( a lot) scary and I'm convinced that there's more panic attacks ahead, but right now it's celebration time Champagne's in the fridge

Geoid
Great News! The Weather in New Zealand is great [lucky] [does that mean the fourm needs a new mod? *hint hint*]
Cate in NZ
Thanks for all the congratulations everyone. I am pretty excited myself at the moment, but this whole process seems like an incredible roller coaster ride, I'm so excited at the opportunity this offers us all, new experiences, new cultures, new lifestyle, but also scared witless, so many friends and family, and a reasonably comfortable lifestyle to leave behind, to go to a country where I don't understand the culture, the systems. I mean, I'm not unhappy here, so why the heck are doing this But NZ is a beautiful place, the people seem welcoming and, well, life's an adventure isn't it. Time to grab this opportunity with both hands and run with it............... and if the worst comes to the worst there's plenty of planes coming back. it's not as if we have to stay there, it's all about choice Great News! The Weather in New Zealand is great [lucky] [does that mean the fourm needs a new mod? *hint hint*] Sorry to disappoint Fred, I'm not hanging up my mod reins, I'm hanging on to this forum for dear life. When I get upset thinking about all the people that I'll be leaving behind I reassure myself that my forum friends won't change, I might just be doing the night shift more often than not, and I won't make the Omlet do's, (but I'm volunteering to host the first Omleteers in NZ bash ) but I'll still be here
Geoid
(but I'm volunteering to host the first Omleteers in NZ bash ) Maybe when Im is Australia sometime, Ill get on a plane and go to NZ (not that far) then we could have the first Omleteers in NZ bash
