Our regular post man is EXCELLENT and so helpful - I'd like to give him a small/token Christmas gift but can't think what - any ideas ?

 

Can't be too bulky or heavy (since he'll be on his round - although I think is van is just a few streets away usually)

I normally give my package man (who haules around 30 kg of kitty litter) a card with a few euro's.

Otherwise I would suggest a box of chocolate or luxury chocolate bar (nice and flat).

Little packet of home made biscuits? Even though I'm at home most days I rarely meet my postman. Don't think mine will be getting anything!

Ours is fab. I always give him a tenner, and he is always grateful. I tip the paperboy and the milkman too.

Our postie is lovely too. I may just wrap myself up for him!

 

We usually give him money too. He's only just moved in a few houses away so I think he would put it to good use.

Meh freeloaders in my garden! Since September!!! They are slackers!!!! Weird moulting session following a broody session. But I spy the maran getting rather nice coloured comb - would be nice to get an egg for Christmas!!! Never mind the postie for that one - it'll be my preciousssssss!

I also have garden slackers, although thankfully a couple of my Silkies are doing their usual trick of laying an egg or two a week in December!

 

I have had to buy eggs though, but thankfully I have 2 friends with young hybrids that I can buy from

We have a frightened rabbit of a post lady, she scuttles around and hates it if she has to talk. I frightened the life out of her one morning when I was in the front garden and said hello.

I frightened our postman one morning back in the summer, he had a habit of knocking on the leaded glass panel in the front door which is quite fragile, on this particular day I opened the door and said " don't knock on the glass use foxy knocker" and slammed the door - he's not knocked on the glass since!

Was all set to give our lad his card and pressie and blow me down - DD grabbed it and raced out before he even got out of our neighbours garden!! Hmmph!!! He has a lot of fans in this close!

Yes, quite young. Not too bad to look at but nothing special but he's such a nice, happy, pleasant guy.

 

OH gave their postie his present and apparently he burst into tears! I said were you being a miser then? Apparently he's quite an older postie but pleasant and chatty. So I said in that case - too much!!!
