Oh no, Cats Tails!      I guess your parcel is on in one of those trucks who were stuck at Dover.   I’m waiting for a parcel just coming from somewhere in the U.K.   It was a consignment of 3 things.  Two came. Still waiting for no 3.

Guess so. It will get here eventually! I even got my lost Disney parcel in the end! I also got my money back.... Don't tell Mickey!

Some of us haven’t even received our Christmas swaps yet! Don’t get overexcited Soapy!

My sister in Greece still hasn't received her parcel yet either - I sent it on 28th November 😮

I'm sure they will all arrive in the end.

It will be a huge surprise when they do.

Ooh! Do we have an Easter Secret Santa?

Indeed we do, keep an eye out for a similar thing except it will be called Easter Swap 2021.

Obviously the same kind of thing happens.

Let's hope the post will be sorted by then.

Last year we chose to cancel because of Lockdown - hopefully we will be able to do it this time.

Luvachicken we still need to see a picture of yours.

Yes, sorry, mine was a gift from Amazon so I haven't put pictures yet.

I did mean to  but hadn't got around to it.

My sister finally got a parcel from the UK to Greece but unfortunately it wasn't my parcel.

Things do seem to be getting through but I guess we just need to be patient.

Just a little update that, although nothing to do with this swap, my sister's parcel to Greece finally turned up today.

This gives me a huge amount of hope for the parcels that are still out there somewhere and that they may turn up soon.

I collected our New Zealand parcel from the village Post Office on Saturday morning. Send 26th November but delayed as there was £18.49 to pay (gulp) which comprise £8 mail handling fee plus customs!

That's a lot of money.

Did they not put enough postage on in the first place ?

It was customs fees/VAT Luvvie and then the handling fee on top of that. The customs declaration on the envelope stated contents as scarves, value 100 dollars. Turned out tho contain 4 merino wool scarves in various designs. They are gorgeous! But, seemingly, imported gifts with a value over £39 attract customs fees and VAT plus a handling charge. Auntie Linda was clearly way too honest when filling in the form on the polybag wrapping! Edited to add; postage was $35.65!!!!

Cat Tails.....any sign of your parcel yet?

I have had to pay VAT on parcels from the US in the past and it was about €25. So definitely not a Brexit thing. It’s always such a bummer though.
Not sure if I’ll have to start paying VAT on parcels from the UK now.

Yes, I ordered something from America last year but because what I ordered was under £100 (I think what I bought was £25) I didn't need to pay anything.

When Greece wasn't in the EU (a long time ago now)  my sister had to pay tax on anything we sent her - it seems very unfair when people are sending gifts rather than when you just buy something.
