Oh dear.......

Recommended Posts

Yuk! I was washing up today and as I had my hands in a sink full of bubbles out crawled a maybug. :vom: I can't STAND maybugs and we've had more this year than I've ever seen. Two outside the back door yesterday, one in the front room last night, one banging on the bathroom window when I went to shut the chooks in, one in the kitchen last night (had to retreat to the bedroom at that point) then another one in the kitchen this morning, plus the one in the washing up. I did rescue it care of a long handled spoon - I don't mind bugs, or beetles, I can even leave spiders in situ but I can't stand anything that flies and maybugs are particularly aimless gormless fliers

We were discussing things in kettles somewhere the other day.............I know, where we were chatting about things to do before going to bed and one suggestion was to fill the kettle ready........... and a story about a cockroach :?

Oh Kate i've gone all cold and clammy just reading what happened. Did it have a big body and little skinny legs? :vom:

Oh the thought of it! Yak Yak Yak!!!

I love coco pops but my biggest fear is finding a spider in the milk once it has turned chocolatey as it will be harder to see :lol:

Cockroaches :vom:

Foul and loathsome beasts. Spiders I can live with but cockroaches make me shudder.

Used to work in a place infested with them - someone dropped a tray of anaesthetised roaches and of course they all woke up and ran off beofre they could be swept up. You would be drinkng you coffee and find one on your lap. Ugh. And if you try to stamp on them they run towards you. That can't be right!

If you went into the basement and switched on the light, the walls and ceiling would shimmer  as they all ran to hide.

You won't believe this...I have just put the kettle on to make myself a cup of tea and I noticed a black thing floating in the the water as it began to boil (see through panel).

Further inspection showd it to be a house fly!

They must be in a suicide pact.

Definitely freshly drawn water for tea!

Oooh, Kate......I'd hate that to happen.

Talking of shocks - I was just clearing out in our conservatory (lean to) anddumped a dust sheet (that the children used to cover our home made tepee) onto the kitchen floor. When I picked it up again there was a big fat slow worm!!! I'm quite proud that I didn't shriek but I certainly jumped. We've had a load of slow worms this year - unfortunately when Muffin doesn't find them, Babs does and they all have a fight over them. I don't know how she's managing to swallow them. :vom:

Me too  I worked in a place with a large canteen and the kitchens were infested with cockroaches. You could see them scuttle around on the floor. They escaped from the canteen and started infesting the offices  I remember taking some papers from a filing basket and two large ones ran out :( I was mainly terrified that they would jump into my bag or jacket pockets and I would take them home with me  They finally got some company in to get rid of them, they did but it took ages and I always lifted papers with extreme caution.

Maybe the spider followed a fly in :?

Yeew, horrible. :(

I only like them at a distance, it's the feeling of touching them without knowing. :anxious:
