BeckyBoo
.....thought I'd give you a little looky at what I've been doing the past few evenings. Obviously we have the fated christening this weekend (and don't the weather gods know it? ) so have made the cakes...... Can't take credit for the fairy or the toad - girl at work made them, but I did the rest. So that was this evening. Then OH went to Portugal on the........well, allegedly playing golf, but I think a fair amount of alcohol was involved and I did say to him, "Never leave a Cancerian alone, on a full moon, with a bottle of Rose and a pot of paint..... One wall now finished... And what is going to be my "red flower wall" - not finished obviously I've just finished doing the cakes and tbh I'm only posting all these pictures because I'm putting off clearing up the HUGE mess I've made in the kitchen Not bad for someone who worked til 2am last night and has only had 3 1/2 hours sleep. (and two cans of red bull ) Mrs Bertie
Egluntyne
Wow! You are so talented. The cakes are beautiful. All the best for Sunday and I hope the inlaws respond to the occasion and behave accordingly. I hope the weathermen have got it wrong. Olly
Wow! Love the cakes - and the walls. Here's hoping for a peaceful day on Sunday, whatever the weather. Hope the outlaws behave themselves and that everyone has a good time.
BeckyBoo
I hope the weathermen have got it wrong, there's about 40 people coming and at least 20 of them are children. Twenty children. In my house. For at least three hours. AAAAAaaaagggghhhh! OH's task this weekend is to go in search of gazebos so we can effectively "tent" off the garden and still throw the children outside. Specially after all that icing, they'll be sky high! Mrs Bertie
Olly
Can't you just let the chooks free-range and shut the kids in the Cube?

Lesley
I hope the weathermen have got it wrong, there's about 40 people coming and at least 20 of them are children. Twenty children. In my house. For at least three hours. AAAAAaaaagggghhhh! OH's task this weekend is to go in search of gazebos so we can effectively "tent" off the garden and still throw the children outside. Specially after all that icing, they'll be sky high! Mrs Bertie You're not the only one hoping they've got it wrong Mrs.B - I have 20+ guests coming on Sunday, mostly Omleteers . Instead of leaving the house nice and tidy while we stroll outside and eat outside I will spend today making the house resemble an Old Folks Home - chairs everywhere I'm not even going to bother with the gazebos - I tried that last time..... the weather looked OK, and less than a minute after tightening the last rope, a massive gust of wind flattened both gazebos The cakes and the painting look fabulous!!! I hope you all have an amazing day (do you think your in-laws ordered this weather? )
