Just wondered....

How do we all find the time to post so much?

This is such an active forum. My excuse is I'm a graphic designer for a newspaper, and because of the slump in advertising, I've got a bit more time at the moment. Is this one of the reasons we're in a recession, I wonder? 'Cos we all play on the internet so much ?

You have to multitask I've got two 'puters. 1 for work and 1 with forums etc

I work about a 48 hours week, but there's alway time for the forum. I'm eating my lunch at work as I type

i'm a childminder and come on for a browse whilst babies sleep in te afternoon or kids at pre school lol should be doing housework i suppose but lifes too short!

I don't post from work - there's no time and all internet use is monitored closely. However I'm lucky enough to be part-time and tend to keep an eye on the forum when I'm at home (with lots of from my DH).

I post at lunch and sneek a quick look throughout the day when I need a brain break (usually about every 30 mins!). I'd look at home more when I have a burning issue!

i'm at home with the children most of the time, plus do bits of work from home, so the forum always tends to be on the laptop in the background and whenever I have a tea beak I pop on to see whats happenin'

(trouble is the tea breaks get longer and more frequent )

To be honest I don't know how I found the time to go to work, I seem to fill the day with all kinds of tasks. I spend far too much time browsing the forum, usually start around lunchtime when I let the chickens out to f.range.

My excuse is that I need to keep a close eye out for foxes and keep one eye on the chickens and another on the doings in the forum

I work very part time.....much of it can be done from home,...so I hop on and off the forum when I need a distraction.

 

Had to actually go in yesterday and today, and have been verwhelmed with red arrows when I log on.

I'm a mother of 4, ranging in age from 10 years to (nearly) 16 weeks. The elder 3 are currently on holiday from school. Squidger is sitting on his bouncy chair investigating his feet, while occasionally giggling at his eldest brother. Today, so far, I've done the shopping, I've hoovered and dusted the rooms upstairs, I've hung out the washing, then folded it ready to be ironed, I've been to the next village to arrange the purchase of a bigger dining table, I've made shepherds pie for tea and fed and watered the aforementioned children.

 

Some (chookiehubbie!!) would say I don't do any work at all....

I do some work from home for my OH but only a few hours a week with some office time when he has a big job on. I am a dab hand with a photocopier

 

Apart from that I am a 'home manager' but I should really be sacked, don't do half enough housework etc too busy browsing on here. I usually come on when i have a cuppa and my lunch but as Snowy said those times seem to run and run

I'm on maternity leave.....but seem to find less time to visit the forum now than I did when at work full time

I also work for OH, from home. I do design of training programmes and workbooks, training delivery, bookkeeping, all PA typing, binding and that sort of thing. Now it's very quiet (not much to deliver or prepare at the moment), so I am painting - have an arts degree gathering dust somewhere so I decided to dig out the oil paints and got on with 'dirtying' canvases again. One of these days I'll do a website and post pics of my paintings... ...I keep saying...

 

Sometimes I knit - at the moment I'm making puppets for the boys.

 

Other times I just chicken-watch... can see them from the offices French window when they free-range as their dust/compost paradise is just in front of the door/window.

 

Usually have the Omlet forum on the background of the Mac, so I nip in during the day.

 

I like to keep amused...

Im an early bird - so like to go to work, get it done and leave early.

Yes, very hard. Do I get paid? No. I get online in odd 5 minutes during the day.

Yes, I work part time from home on the computer so it's very easy to slip over here and browse between tasks.

I work 3 days a week during school term time. My house never gets cleaned or the ironing done, that's how I have time to spend on here .
