jackiepoppies
Hi everyone, I was just reading the 'congratulations' page where Poachedegg is celebrating her 16th wedding anniversary following a holiday romance. It just made me wonder if there were any other stories like this with happy endings. Congratulations Poachedegg Jackiex

jlo
Some friends of ours met after a bout of road rage. the bloke cut up the girl on the M1 and then ended up at the side of her in a queue close to the M25. He somehow got her number off her and they are now married with a baby daughter

Old Speckled Hen
Widowed ten years and set in my single ways;daughter at university I went on a holiday that only happened because my original trip climbing mount Cotopaxi was cancelled. I booked an alternative at the last minute and even 10 minutes before taxi came to take me to heathrow I was telling my mum, house and dog and cat sitting, that I couldn't be bothered and would be happy chilling at home. She booted me out, so I caught that plane and met a wonderful guy, we dated for two years and married last year.
Guest
I met chookiehubbie on a night out - one of his friends fancied me, and asked me to tag along, in the hope he may get a snog at the end of the night, but I ended up with chookiehubbie instead. The friend never spoke to us again.

bronze
I've mentioned our story before. I was on a narrowboat with my parents and best friend (aged 18) going one direction. We went into a pub one night where there were a load of twenty something men and started playing pool with them. They were on a boat headed int he other direction. Exchanged phone numbers etc just as friends. DH rang me a week later and it went from there. We went back on the same stretch of canal as part of our honeymoon and can't wait til the day when we can afford to take our children there. Chickvic
I always joke that ours is an arranged marriage! My dad lived next door to his parents and knew him from when he was born. Dad married mom and moved away, I knew his parents before I really met him. His mom used to say "You're 18 he's 22 it's a nice age gap and he's got a good job!" We actually got together in 1992 (I was 18 and he was 22!!) just after Christmas, bit too much to drink and we've been together ever since. Been married 12 years and have 2 children 10 ands 8, 3 cats and 3 chickens!
