dancing cloud Posted November 24, 2008 Share Posted November 24, 2008 My little monsters arrived on 24th May, so today is our 6-month henniversary and I couldn't resist sharing with you all how well they are doing. The first photo of each is how they were when they arrived , the second gives you an idea of their individual little characters as they are now (some play to the camera more than others ). Clover Chance Daisy Dandelion Hope Joy There's still a lot of feathers to go, particularly for Daisy and Joy who both have bare tummies and not much by way of knickers, and only you fellow Omleteers will understand that I am so proud of how far they have come in the last six months that I could burst . From scrawny oven-readies to happy cheeky chooks - I love'em! Never having had hens before, I've nothing to compare them with, but they do seem to be doing very well. I've passed all your compliments on to the ladies and their heads are now so big they can barely fit in the Cube They really are very addicitive and, as per my post earlier today, I been and gone and put my name down for another three from BHWT early next year. In this area they still have large waiting lists and it's good to know there's still such a demand for ex-batts, and that every healthy rescued hen is guaranteed a home (I whispered about three more girls to Daisy top-hen when she sat on my knee this morning and she had no objections to bossing three more around, but I haven't dared tell Tubby Puddy yet ... ) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
