Hi Bronze :D

Can I still join?

We are due to meet her in April :D

Lovely idea for a thread and congrats to those who are expecting - however that is due to happen!

If I were to become pregnant, it may lead to a divorce given a certain op undertaken by OH ten years or so ago!

Great to hear about others though!

Me! I am not due until August, (boo), and have a bump mostly made up of rice crispie squares and banana milkshake :) We found out last week that we are expecting a little girl, breaking OH's family curse of all boys for the last century, and are very very excited.

I've so far had a very healthy pregnancy - no morning sickness or other pregnancy illnesses, and as far as I can tell could just as easily be a bit chubby as pregnant. Luckily have seen baby lots of times and have a doppler so I can listen in when I'm feeling nervous that I've imagined the whole thing. Right now my main feeling is that I just wish I could get this all over and done with right now and meet my baby.

Congratulations on your lovely PINK bundle Tigerlilly, you must be so nervous and excited! Well done for making it through the adoption process, which looks so much more difficult and complex than this pregnancy malarkey.

Henny-Penny, I have lots of useful tips on getting pregnant, but I imagine you've heard them all and are sick and tired of people saying 'oh I just stood on my head and then danced naked, widdershins round a clump of nettles three times while flogging myself with sunflowers and I was pregnant straight away', or my personal favourite, 'just relax and it will happen' or 'my husband just looked at me and I was pregnant'. GRRRR. In my case, as OH is away from home a fair bit, getting pregnant involved a lot of taking temperatures, charting my cycle, pre-natal vitamins and some helpful stuff called preseed.

I am not pregnant either or likely to be, but my SIL is due at the beginning of June so the whole family is waiting impatiently. The baby will be a first cousin to our children and the first baby in the family for nearly 11 years.

Congratulations and good luck to all those expectant parents

Fantastic news  - I was adopted as a baby and have wonderful parents. I have also recently become mum to a 5 year old boy, to add to our family of 12 year old daughter and 10 year old son. When the going gets tough, remember why you are giving this wee soul a home - you will be getting her at the age that many babies become wary of meeting folk - hang in there, lots of cuddles and bonding activities and I am sure, like me, she will feel indistinguishable from a birth child.

Also - all the best to all out there currently pregnant - I have 3 work colleagues, a cousin, and a sister all due around June/July - there may be a credit crunch, but it looks like there is also a baby boom on :D
