I was listening to Radio 2 during my lunch break and they're whipping up a frenzy about the swine flu :roll: Just what we need. I reckon they're under instructions from Gordon Brown to take our minds off the recession and national debt!

We've got all our instructions in the surgery about what to do if a patient turns up with symptoms.....hopefully they'd have the sense just to phone instead of coming in but you never know :roll: . The young couple confirmed with it are in my local hospital so it's just a wee bit close for comfort. Also the whole mask thing is ridiculous....most standard masks are rendered useless within 2 hours, and there wouldn't be enough supplies for everyone to be renewing masks every few hours!

Stop telling porkies you lot. I thought i had piggy flu today as felt dizzy but not been near Mexico but do work in Drs. However i think its vertigo. I do have a rasher on my face and keep trotter(ing ) to loo :D I am pig sick of hearing about swine fever - my son asked what a swine was - i said "ask your dad" as I was cross with him. :whistle:

OH saw a woman on Tube today wearing mask, his mate thought it so funny he took a photo with his phone :roll: first bird flu now this what next elephant flu, ant flu - the mind boggles. I had my first client ask re a vacc today - I mean if u are that worried dont go :wall: Honestly they persisit in coming to surgery with their germs - same last yr we all got bombarded with germs from people who should be tucked up in bed with a paracetamol and a drink ( no not alcohol) I always have the jab but some staff wont, however I am asthmatic so it is a good idea.Joys of working in NHS eh :)
