I got frightened by vampire films and used to go up to my room with my eyes shut until I had closed the curtains - didn't help that the cat was looking in and the light reflected in her eyes when I chanced a peek and yelled (only to be told off by dad because my brother was asleep). The scariest film was "Night of the Demon" when the thing chased a fella (Dana Andrews?) through the woods - and I came home late one night from work and went through the woods - ran all the way home! Once home and quivering in my bed, my darling brother put his hand round the door in a paper bag and gave me the fright of my life . (I'll not go into the plot here .) LaPoule Posted May 23, 2009 Share Posted May 23, 2009 My brother, a friend and I (ages 10-14) watched a Jack the Ripper movie (can't remember which one), and then had to walk IN THE DARK down to said friend's house, where my parents were (2 minute walk in a very friendly neighbourhood - that was not how we saw it at the time!!!) A few years ago, for some reason I stayed up late and watched "The Birds" alone - then I had to get up and go to bed. You'd think that as an adult, that this would not have been problem.
