hillfamily
Duct tape...the best thing in the world :D It's holding my guttering together until the builders arrive in 2 weeks and kept my wing mirror in place until I could get it fixed (although I have to say the Mercedes garage didn't look too impressed ) :D

Egluntyne
I would throw a couple of cable ties into that equation.

clootie
Has Fred set up in business selling products we can't live without? If so, can you add chocolate to the list please? That usually fixes it for me

sadietoo
everything in our house can be fixed with gaffer tape....the wd40 is almost redundant....for other (emotional) stuff...what can't be fixed with tape can be fixed with mashed potato or lentil dhal or the most fabulous remedy of all CHOCOLATE...and lots of it !!! Valkyrie
Oh yes lovely thick chunky tape - not forgetting insulating tape - very handy for indoor bunnies that like to munch through wires. Well, not for the bunny, but for the wires, oh so many bits held together here with that. She's long gone but she will not be forgotten - the speaker wires for the TV are white with lots of little black patches. (OH was more like ) WD40, the guy that put in our new bathrooms and cloakroom used that on one of the taps because I said it was hard to turn - it made it easier to use, but soon it dribbled all down the tap and into the sink. I think he used that graph too - and the tap is still hard to turn.
sadietoo
Our late and sadly lamented house bunny Blossom had a particular taste for modem wires....(and rich tea biscuits...which should also be featured in the Can it be Fixed flow chart)
Valkyrie
Our bunny could get the lid off the Quality Street tin at Christmas - then run round with her loot in her mouth. And she tried to get the Christmas tree choccies - tantalisingly put out of her reach. How to keep a bunny amused and yourselves at the same time by watching said bunny fall over backwards trying to get the choccies over and over . . . She never touched the wiring for the lights though. Perhaps they were the wrong flavour? I agree with you - modem and phone wires also were tasty (another couple of items I had to get sorted before OH blew his gasket - I could have fix him with duct tape perhaps )
Sheilaz
Oh dear, Koojie. Very good Fred. When I left home (to live in a car in France for 3 months ) my sister told me to take a bucket and a ball of string, she was absolutely right! I like your simple solution to most things! Nowadays, my reply to any ailment is to use cold water; my advice is to either be drinking loads of water, or running it over an injury. If that doesn't work, you need a doctor. WarrensWorld
This thread reminds me of something my old principal said, "If it can't be fixed with a hammer, it must be an electrical fault".
Chook n Boo Mum
Fantastic, the "cure all kit"............maybe some tea to add to that list with the chocolate ...........and definitely agree with the cable ties, I couldn't live without cable ties Sha x
ClaireG
We have a long standing joke in our family. My Dad thinks he can fix anything with a 6"nail and/or baler twine He also seems to use duct tape quite a bit to!
