I feel like I'm getting the news from here instead of Radio 4. Wasn't a fan of his films but loved that he was such a big star and still seemed so courteous and decent and loved his wife and was so loyal to her. Rare breed for an actor. RIP.

I too was a little in love with him and so were my two daughters. They both watched the end of Dirty Dancing over 100 times! Yes, they even kept count. Patrick Swayze might no longer be with us, but thankfully he has left us some wonderful films.

I was really shocked when my dad told me earlier. It's funny as I only watched Dirty Dancing the other day and was thinking of him. So sad RIP

What a hunk, gorgeous bod, wasn't a fan of Dirty Dancing I'm afraid but Point Break and Roadhouse were amazing. It was sad to see him reduced to a shadow of his former self but he seemed to retain his spirit until the very end.

That was so beautiful, even my YS stopped and watched it all.

 

I saw a clip of an interview that he had made during his treatment and he was with his wife. He said that he hoped that dying would be like the scene from Ghost where he says to Molly that its amazing, the love you have inside, you take it with you. His wife, Lisa, got upset and they had a cuddle.

 

I watched Ghost last night, kids thought it was a bit to watch it then, but I love the film and I think he gazes into Demi's face with such a look of love it gives me goosebumps.

 

I think its great that from what I read today he and his wife had a strong and long marriage.
