Oooooooh! I'm so excited!

Emma,

She goes to a local theatre school at weekends and through that has an agent who gets details of what they call 'closed auditions' - the ones that only go out through casting agents to agents.

The part she is up for (look away now if you are a Potter fan and haven't read the last book) is the daughter of Ron Weasley and Hermione who end up getting hitched. Their kids appear in the final chapter of the last book, so it would be a very small main part. also there are some other roles they are looking at her for, but haven't said what they are, which is intreaguing!

She started acting when she saw what a fab time her older brother has been having - he has been doing stuff on telly since he was 9, and I think she thought 'I fancy a bit of that'!

She is recording a Radio Play for Radio 4 in half term, and her brother is waiting to hear if he has got a part in Waterloo Road. Apparently he has been 'pencilled in' for a new character, but that doesn't mean to say he has got the part. He was pencilled in for something in the past and then got dropped at the last minute. They keep you hanging on for ages!

What with this and waiting for my fist chooks to lay for the first time, it is all so nervewracking for a Mother!

The Harry Potter audition went well yesterday. It was a very long day, and Hester and OH got back very late. She read for Lily Potter as a child and Maisie Cattermole, whoever she is. Was in about 25 minutes which is a fair length of time - it is normally about 10 minutes. Now it is the long wait.....a case of 'don't call us, we'll call you!

No, they both went to Scream, although neither go to the theatre school any more as they are not into singing and dancing.

No 1 son has returned to Scream as they have started a youth theatre, with promises of going to the Edinburgh Festival, but DD now also into ice skating - always was sillly and pink - think it is the lycra sequinned frocks on Dancing on Ice that did it. She is going to the Ice Drome for lessons with a Russian lady who was on the TV ice show, called Natalia. All down to our next door neighbours who have a business on the Pleasure Beach and know these people. So if they ever do a film or TV drama about ice skaters she's laughing!

I hate it all - it's so pressurised.

What is wrong with Brownies and being bored like when we were kids?
