What a tragedy. Those poor chickens . Their lives were terrible to begin with but to die like that is just awful .

Some of the sheds OH goes in every night are in a poor state of repair/condition so it may have possibly been quite easy to tamper with wires etc. I can't see why animal activists would want to cause suffering though?....

Oh those poor poor little things. Having just spent most of today playing with and cuddling mine, it just breaks my heart to read about the terrible suffering they most have gone through - words just fail me

Showed this to OH and he said this should not have happened. Sheds should be alarmed if this occurs and then a back up generator comes on automatically.

 

Either the system was completely tampered with, or they never had a system installed like this in the first place which seems highly unlikely in a house of that size.

Poor little souls Sadly does have all the hallmarks of animal rights activists tho'.

 

I'm afriad I have an extremely low opinion of so-called animal rights activists - most of them are just thugs who want to cause damage, folk who REALLY are concerned about animal welfare don't do things like this - they rehome animals and work WITH the farmers to make sure the animal care and welfare is paramount. Peolpe who do things like this should be ashamed of themselves.
