Here's a bit of my tree

 

 

It's a real tree with just coloured lights and Murano glass on it

 

The tree in the kitchen is black plastic and is adorned with lights,chocolate and sugar canes.

I'm longing to put my trees up but the living room is out of action and all bits and pieces from the room are strewn over the rest of downstairs as DH decided to rewire living room as new fireplace has gone in but stove is still on order . I'm hoping to get back into the room tomorrow evening which would be good timing as we have a funeral to go to tomorrow morning and it feels wrong to put up decorations before that

Ooh pretty piccies. Hmm me wants new front door - I like Christian's inside doors too (although I have similar but only downstairs so far). Me wants lots of things - those that want don't get! I really need some Christmas spirit - but we haven't been shopping yet - a little rum works wonders!

We loved it when we saw it as well - it's very French style and once I'd painted the front door it was perfect. It's an ideal place for a tree.....we're very fortunate.

Not working tomorrow and OH is back from vegas in the late afternoon, so tomorrow is Operation Christmas Time at Farm Cottage God help him when he gets back.

oooh paper chains!!! that brings back memories! cutting up bits of paper and sticking them with my glue pot.. we never bought them in our house for many many years.

 

I wonder....... you know those paper chain with the people holding hands?? I winder if we could do chicken ones??? has anyone tried?

My tree is up - it is bare at the moment (goodness knows how mum is getting into the spare room tonight - the boxes of decorations are right in the way). Tell a lie - it has one straggley bit of gold tinsel dangling.

Lights are on, the baubles are on, the fancy dangly bits are on and some of those Chinese wooden things are on (unfortunately - and Madam Mim bought some more from the Hospice shop - arghhh), choccies are on - except for 2 which madam also polished off. Still have white butterflies and ribbons to go - ooh and the beads are on (forgot those - they go on after the lights). Fairy is on - somewhat wonkily. And of course the gold tinsel! Getting there.

BMS - even checked OH's knicker drawer - I think they got last BA flight to warmer climes before strike - I even got OH to open loft for a rummage. no luck - i think Mary and Joe have done a runner. I looked longelingy (sp) at a navity set in Tiger but refrained from buying as we know then I';ll end up with 2.

Nooooooo, those mass produced snowmen, santas, soldiers, snowmen etc. Chopsticks would look rather nice - perhaps the Japanese ones - like icicles.

We had to make biological christmas decorations in Biology (obviously ) ... there were a few festive hearts and brains then our table did chickens (well we passed them off as turkeys to be more festive ) ... the first one I did wrong so we just had 8 chickens, but then we realised how to do it

Tree done at last - found the candy canes I bought so they are now on (Jelly Belly's with sizzling cinammon - ooh wonder who likes those? And "Ooops, word censored!"ody else does. Other flavours too though). Piccies done but will try and get them on - next job tidying up my sewing mess and assorted other mess. Then I'll get around to the rest of the decorations (sooner rather than later because of all the boxes we are tripping over!).
