One Man Banned
Well it's two weekends away and I have my second gig booked and ready to go. Been very busy these last few weeks rehearsing the songs I will be doing and in particular investing in yet more equipment! To add to what I took to the Omlet gathering I've added a shiny new cd mixer, another two (more powerful speakers) another set of can lights and stands plus two other lights and a second smoke machine! A lot more gear to carry round but will be well worth it when I am doing gigs more frequently. I hope! The Omlet gathering was a charity fundraiser and this one is my first paid gig - to which Joe has helpfully reminded me that it will take me ten years to recoup my setup costs at the current rate of bookings! Still, it's giving me more enthusiasm to get everything on the road to making it happen. And the best part of it....... I owe it all to you guys for making me START doing it!! Will hopefully get some pics of this show after the event.....but most people will be too drunk to remember I'm guessing Now...what if I forget the words, or fall over, or make a complete ninny of myself! ARGGHHHHH!! A xx

One Man Banned
DISASTER HAS STRUCK! With less than one week to go my voice has croaked and I'm terrified it won't last the week! Hmnn I'm gonna call it the Kylie Kurse! Got the dispersible aspirin and gargling with that and have packs of Vocalzone lozenges to try and get me through! I'm just  ing that it will be all alright on the night! Sincerely yours Worried in Gloucestershire A xx
Guest
Andrew - honey is good to soothe a croaky throat - a teaspoonful, left to slide down your throat gently is very good, and can be repeated as often as required! Hope you feel better soon.xx
Linda
Ooh, everything crossed for you Andrew! I swear by mega doses of vitamin C and echinacea. I always like to put up a fight!
Christian
Hi Andrew sorry to hear about your throat! Try meracaine from Boots, they are like Strepsils but they work It numbs your whole throat!! Just DON"T use them beofre you perform, your voice will crack and sound awful! Its like you have no control over it (A very bad experience performing a solo at 6th form) BUT they are very good at soothing! Good luck!
