LJ's Chooks

Chicken of fate?? (Sad news today)

Recommended Posts

There's been warmth in the sun today for the first time our way in ages - I'm very glad she's been able to enjoy it; its also good to have a supportive bit of company through tough times, its never easy - fingers X for you both LJ and Mally.

she Still has a red comb and upright tail

That's BRILLIANT news!

She's had some magic medicines and has been standing and drinking

It just gets better

...And she's had lots of cuddles from auntie Sha in the sunshine today too.

Can't get any better :)

Well done Sha, LJ and our star Mally - who's not out of the woods yet but fingers crossed she's finding her way with help from her friends :)

Always the optimist! But based on my experience, because just before my Penny died, her tail had been down for about 2 weeks :( Mally's is up - I take that as good news!

And you said she couldn't stand before - she's standing today and taking liquid and medicine - got to be good news! Another sign of improvement?

But you're right, she is desperately ill, no denying that but I cling to hope that she's getting better. My worry (and yours, I know) is that she'll be up and down and is it fair on her?

Did the callous person who dumped her know what was coming so just left her to the mercy of a fox to save a vet bill? Horrible thought :( Like you say, she's used up an awful lot of her lives - but lucky to be spending this one with you, no matter how long or short it may be...

This is good sign as Cookie's tail was down a couple of days b 4 she died.

Sending Mally and you lots of hugs and positive vibes xxxxx

So sorry to hear this :( Do always remember you gave her the 2nd chance she couldn't have expected and you also gave us all the chance to enjoy her with you. She had your love and attention and you restored her to being a beautiful girl. RIP Mallion.

what a bitter sweet tale. Maybe she was just an old lady or her life had been shortened by the terrible care she'd had before she came to you. Thankfully she experienced kindness and love in her final weeks.

Have you considered contacting your local paper to see if they want to run the story? It might flush out the horrible person who did this to her in the process, or at least someone might know someone who knows someone who did this. Just a thought.

xxxx
