patsylabrador
I know I've banged on a bit about my son being in A, but the good news is he's safely back in Bastion and his tour is nearly over. I just really wish they could all come home, there have been so many pointless deaths and injuries to so many people from all sides. Best wishes to anyone who knows someone out there. Chucky Mama
You have not been a bore so don't worry. It is important to remember everyone involved in this war. I am frightened that we are becoming immune to the horror of it all. It seems that we are loosing soldiers weekly and I try to make myself listen to everything as it is so easy to 'switch off' to media coverage when it is so frequent. We are very close to Wootton Bassett and I see the planes coming over for repatriations when I walk the dog, it is so sad. I am so so glad that your darling boy is coming home soon. Give him a big hug and a huge thank you from me, he is very brave and very much appreciated as are you being part of the support network. Valkyrie
You are not a bore - you need to unload and where else can you do that? Omleteers always support our well spread out friends and their families. As with all the other peeps in the forces - come home safe and pronto. lew
Never a bore, just a concerned mum. I'm so glad he is coming home soon. My son is due to go out there in August and is training with the Ghurkas at the moment. I'm trying not to think about it too much or I'll be a gibbering wreck by then and I'm determined that the last thing he needs to worry about is mum!
