Blarrgh- what innocuous seeming things make you feel queasy?

Recommended Posts

For me, it's cheese and onion crisps. Ever since I was stuck in a stuffy tube train carriage in the early morning and the man sitting opposite me got his cheese and onion crisps and noisily munched through the packet. The smell of them wafting over made me feel really nauseous and comes back to haunt me.

Red coffee mugs, ever since the days of morning sickness. I don't make a fuss, it's not like they've served me coffee in a spittoon but I don't enjoy the coffee. :)

Feet. My feet I can cope with but anyone elses give me the heeby geebies  If Mr Griffins feet touch me I scream and jump ten feet in the air  I can touch my youngest daughters feet but I wouldn't particularly want to touch any of my others childrens feet, especially my eldest who has a freaky looking toe that makes me feel ill

Baked beans- they look to me as if they have been eaten already and the smell is hideous. Recently I was nursing a giant hangover at the local caff with some fellow sufferers from the party the night before and they ALL ordered beans with their breakfasts, I was surrounded by the orange horrors.

Snot and spit. In fact bodily discharges in general. Especially dewdrops on the ends of noses or children with candles hanging from a nostril :vom::vom::vom:

Also cheese crisps - from a time when I was particularly ill during a train journey as a child shortly after eating a packet of cheese crisps. The two events were unconnected, but I have not been able to eat them since!

....who has a freaky looking toe that makes me feel ill

I have toes which my OH describes as freaky and can't look at.... it's great, can spend ages torturing him ("go get me a glass of wine or I'll take my socks off...").

I cannot stand white squirmy things like baby mice (before they have proper eyes... urrgcch, makes me want to heave thinking about it). Albino animals generally make me feel slightly queesy, but baby mice/ rodents- UURRGGHH. When they've got their fur I don't mind them at all.

Probably not what you want to hear, but there's a baked bean museum in Wales

Slugs. EEEEuuuurggh they make me feel sick. I don't mind snails- I like snails, they used to be my favourite animal (when I was like 5 years old! ) but slugs... *shudder*

Frogs!! Im absolutely scared senseless of them, how dum is that (though it's actually quite serious when I think every little leaf on the pavement is "a four letter F word" as I prefer to call them")

Ditto frogs. I don't know why, but I just get really freaked out when they jump.

Chalk makes me fell really weird. You know that feeling when you hear nails on a blackboard - all shuddery and cold. Arrg I'm getting goosebumps just thinking of chalk.

Not keen on frogs either - especially when they hide in the long grass, I'm mowing the lawn and don't see them until it's too late :( Apologies if that's too much information!

Ugly green troll ornament thingys with nodding heads and warts - my mum had one of these when I was a kid and I had to pass it going up and downstairs - it still gives me the heebie jeebies (sp?) just thinking about it.
