Blarrgh- what innocuous seeming things make you feel queasy?

Recommended Posts

Wet wood that needs to be dried up ie mixing spoons, spatulas etc. Sets my teeth on edge just thinking about it.

I have the same problem with glass that needs to be dried up. Can handle any drying up except glasses, ooh that horrible squeaky sound produced by a tea towel on glass, yuk! My teeth are crawling just thinking about it.

I am shivering at a lot of the things you lots have mentioned, so thank you for that :lol::lol:

Biting woollen blankets - sends shivers up and down me for ages *big shivers*

Ditto certain types of cotton wool

Lenor fabric conditioner in blue - went off it during my first pregnancy, as it would made me vomit, and still can't stand it. I sniff it in Sainsburys every now and then, just to see, but nope, still blurgh

Ditto coffee (I was the same as you Anna) The good news was I was fine once I had each baby. Its a sure sign I'm preggars if I go off coffee. My mum, however, still can't drink it, even though she loves to smell. Odd.

The thought of s"Ooops, word censored!"ing my nails when using a potato peeler *shivers*

Slugs - can't even pick them up with a piece of cardboard as I can still 'feel' them

The thought of an adult having diarrhoea makes me feel so sick. My poor MIL has a problem with her bowels, and unfortunately feels the need to tell me all about when she phones :(

Hyacinth's give me a migraine, so its not so much a queasy thing.

Paris - the perfume that is!

First sign I was pregnant was going off coffee, but that soon came back. But I went off Paris during my first pregnancy - made me feel very nauseous. 20 years later it still has the same effect! OH had bought me a large bottle of it for christmas. Found out I was preggers 2 weeks later. :vom:

ewwww let me see -

A warm just finished washing dishwasher (ever since I was preggers)

Lily’s (used to love them until i was preggers, now they are far too strong and I have a limited sense of smell but they are still toooo strong lol)

Dirty children with runny (really runny) noses

Children picking their noses and eating them: vom :vom:

Feet (they're evil things that look like hands that are in the wrong places lol)

Heights

Bananas.

They don't come over the threshold in this house and I always know if hubby's eaten one during the day when he's at work. If someone in the office has had one I have to get them to remove the skin from their bin and put it outside.

Oh and eggs too  OK with them in things, like cakes or toad in the hole, but eating an egg makes me heave. A lot of people find this one very strange given the amount of poultry running around the garden.
