I am wearing jeans, wooly warm socks, long sleeved T shirt and a thick sweat top. had to put on a fleece jacket earlier when I was out in the garden. Wood burner all ready to light later, might be sooner rather than later as the living room is feeling chilly now the sun isn't shining through the window. I'm actually really happy because I noticed some really tiny grass shoots, and I'm hoping that they'll grow now that they can get some water before the chickens eat them. Had a light smattering of rain in the night - my mum informed me it was around midnight because she went out. Not enough to water the garden though. I even turned the heating back on yesterday! Just recently we turned the heating off and were sleeping with just a sheet and a blanket. The quilt went back on for the last two nights mainly because OH didn't like my cold feet on him! beach chick Posted May 4, 2011 Share Posted May 4, 2011 it has been so flipping windy here the last 5 days or so that being outdoors was painful - despite brilliant sunshine and blue skies. today the wind has dropped enough to make it bearable - and what am I doing? at my desk supposed to be working (so am not actually here on Omlet, oh no ) no frost last night though it was REALLY cold and I almost caved in and put the heating back on.
