Old Speckled Hen Posted February 21, 2011 Share Posted February 21, 2011 A little snow left on the tops, raining at lower levels but it's got so cold. OH was out last night at 8pm helping a couple of mountain bikers off Kentmere stuck in slushy slippery snow. They had underestimated the time for their planned route and had run out of daylight. Clad only in lycra and with no torches they were in the early stages of hypothermia when they were found. Thank heavens they had given the police the proper grid ref. After hot tea and time in a Kisu they were walked down while another couple of team members brought their bikes down. I just had to have a moan at it - right, now you are all clear - couldn't rain now could you, you have to do monsoon during the day whinge whinge whinge.
