Guest
Crocs question: OH has almost worn right through the sole of his professionals They are too dangerous to wear. Does anyone know if they can be recycled? If so, where?
The Dogmother
Might need to email the Crocs main website with that one Ginette. I'd be interested to know the answer - Rosie's purple mary janes are looking very grotty Snowy are your red ones (that are too small) caymans or mary janes? If they're a size three, I might be interested in them.
Snowy
They're caymans Clare. Would be a good idea to offload them as i rarely wear them.

The Dogmother
This is interesting.... I now have Snowy's red size 3 Crocs (thanks Snowy ) and here's a size comparison with my old (original) size 3 orange crocs... mine were made in Boulder, Colorado and Snowy's in China.... You can see in this photo that the red ones are quite a bit smaller in length. This photo shows that they are smaller in width too Suits me because my feet are tiny anyway, but it's interesting to see the difference. BTW, unlike Lesley's both these pairs have the same logos and typeface.
ubereglu
That's intriguing especially as they've been made in the same place...
The Dogmother
Liz, if you look at my post, the red ones were made in China and the orange ones in the US. The size difference seems to depend on where they are made.
ubereglu
My fault, skim reading again. It is quite surprising with some of the size differences isn't it? How many pairs of crocs do you now have Clare?
The Dogmother
I've got three, all children's sizes. They are a size three, so Rosie will be borrowing them very soon

Snowy
There's a seller on ebay selling the pale blue and cotton candy mammoths! £32.99 + £9.99 p&p from US. I'm SO tempted. Should really wait until they are available here.

ubereglu
What colour will they be Liz? Sea foam Mary Janes, we bought them when we went to Lookatmycrazyshoes in Glastonbury in the last week of the summer hols. I'm also getting a pair of Lavender caymans as my sister still owed me money, so I'm paying her the excess when I next see her.
Lesley
I forgot to come back and sat what happened when I went back to the shop with my pink crocs. The manager phoned Crocs and the person she spoke to knew straight away what she was going to say - even the holes were a different size. The answer was that although each country is provided with the same size moulds, the finished product depends on the cooling process. Some countries have shorter cooling times due to weather variances. I was happy that mine are originals and have kept them as the size difference is OK. Jules.
i have hardly had my crocs off my feet since my hols, & the sole under the ball of my foot is looking quite worn, too.
ubereglu
I've just found a really cheap site for crocs, Click Here It's american and even when you include the $15 shipping for one pair it's still a lot cheaper, plus they have the Mammoths, Alice's and all the new styles and colours. Jules.
I really like the Alice ones for adults, but not the ones for children. I wear children's Mary Jane style shoes for work that I bought for £10 in the Clarks sale.

I wear children's Mary Jane style shoes for work that I bought for £10 in the Clarks sale. Wow, I didn't know Clarks stocked them! That was a good bargain then, I don't know if I'd be able to wear the Alice's to school, even if they were black, I could always try!!! Jules.
Sorry Ubereglu, the shoes I wear for work are childrens leather school shoes, black with a full heel & a bar across the top. I had liked these shoes for ages, but baulked at spending £32 full price on them. When I bought them in the sale I bought two pairs I also have a lovely pair of pale brown suede boots that I got for £5 in the summer last year. They have a lovely ladybird lining around the top (size 2 1/2!) Edit- the lining is on the inside!
