14 degrees here. Blustery, showery.......it's autumn .

 

Same here only we have gale force winds.

 

We have 9c temperatures forecast for the middle of the week and a chance of snow for the end of the week.

 

In fact this post should probably be in the weather thread and not Indian summer.

I'm not a fan of hot weather, give me normal, autumn temperatures any day! My favourite weather is

Was fine up until 3pm - sun & slight breeze. Then whoosh! The wind came off the mountain & it went quite cold. It seemed to start to go dark at 4ish today.

Give me back my sun! It was gorgeous on Saturday. I was on the beach paddling & fetching buckets of water for my nephew - didn't come of the beach until nearly 7pm. Absolutely gorgeous. Here is a photo I took on North Beach near the band stand...

It is a cool day here too, 13 c out in the run atm, windows are closed for the first time in a while, it feels much colder and looks like we have some rain on the way, if it gets any darker i'll have to put the lights on.

The Indian Summer was such a delight while it lasted but i have to say, slightly odd and it definitely it threw my head into dissaray somewhat. last i heard, it was only this warm around the same time of the year a whopping 60 years ago!! Crazy times!!

Got a mini meet with Spacechick later - I hope the weather stays dry. Mind you we will be drinking coffee indoors anyway. But I'm hoping for a mooch round & a stroll on the front before meeting up.

Definitely Autumn today.

Windy and wet during the night - the wind (outside!) woke me up at 4am blowing a tin can along the road - 1/2 hour later heard it blow back Am I the only sad insomniac on Omlet listening to tin cans blowing round - better not answer that

I don't know what we are supposed to get but I hope it is good enough to allow me to clear out the greenhouse and move some plants in for the winter. I would like to clean the eglu too I keep reading threads about red mite and feel I should give things a good check over if it is dry.

I gave my cube it's massive summer blast in August when it was hot enough to totally take apart and disinfect/spray with Total Mite Kill. It all gets a thorough clean and check every week, but I like to take it all apart once a year.

I was toasty in the lounge but now that I am upstairs I am a bit chilly, we spent the afternoon at Cheltenham racecourse,( free business club tickets + free afternoon out in the sunshine) I would challenge anyone to find a better location for a racecourse the views are amazing, they are also good from Whaddon Rd football ground where Cheltenham town play

 

Love the picture of Cyrus he reminds me of Scamp although she does get beaten back by the heat occasionally and has to move away to cool off, she soon comes back.

Liz we went to the racecourse for the Cheltenham Festival one year and it is in such a fantastic setting with lovely views

We've been there Liz for the Cheltenham Festival and it is in stunning countryside, we've also been to Cheltenham for a canoe polo tournament (held in a swimming pool somewhere ) I spent ages admiring the view then too. You are lucky to live in a beautiful part of the country.

It's really warm now after a very cold start; been in Stratford with Moochoo and our hounds. They were rampaging around the fields and into the ponds... I now have 2 'broken' dogs lying in a heap on the kitchen floor
