Snowy Posted October 2, 2011 Share Posted October 2, 2011 My Pekin babies are growing fast! They are very confident now in their little enclosure. So much so that they have commandeered the best sunbathing spot: (not a brilliant pic as I grabbed the first camera I could find which was my ipod!) Their colours are more obvious now, although i can't decide whether Mimi is a pale Blue or a dark Lavender! Lulu is Blue, either splash or mottled, and Ping is definitely a very pretty Mille Fleur Hard to get a good picture of Ping as she bounces out of sight behind the others when I come near, but I had a cuddle tonight when I put them to bed and her feathers are developing really pretty markings! And their voices are breaking! Mimi now manages a bit of ho"Ooops, word censored!" clucking, the others are still cheeping Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kazzy73 Posted October 3, 2011 Share Posted October 3, 2011 They are so pretty and look very very cheeky,have just found out I have a soft spot for Pekins,3 weeks ago I got a black one called BBQ and shes very very cheeky.Her fav thing is sitting on the side of the treat bowl eating it while I throw it around for the other 2 little hens she shares with. I'm always tempted by more - they really have the nicest characters, but I'm try to limit the number of muddy bloomers I have to deal with in winter.
