TAJ
Have a look at these we grew on the allotment - I think they were worthy of a Christmas photo. http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii49/TAJchicks/P1000470.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii49/TAJchicks/P1000469.jpg It may be next year's Christmas cards. mollyripkim
They are beautiful, almost a shame to eat them but I bet they taste lovely. Saw a card in a very posh shop of a close up of sprouts.

TAJ
What are they called...yeah I know sprouts but which variety. Might even be able to get my toddler to eat them I will see if I can find the seed packet. They taste like red cabbage really, not as strong as green sprouts. Cinnamon
We sell those - they look fantastic & are always a great talking point with the customers. We do giant ones too, which are about the size of an orange,& very leafy.

Redwing
I found some of these seeds at the garden centre today (or at least very similar if not the same) - Thompson and Morgan seed range 'Falstaff' Mr Fothergills has the larger looser version that Cinnamon refers to in their catalogue
sjp
as well as Falstaff there's Rubine and Red Bull I've grown Falstaff and Red Bull with little success in the past the dislike light sand type soil more than green sprouts the looser type is Brukale Petit Posy

chickencam
They are really beautiful, we have poor results with sprouts on our light sandy soil, they start off well, but are very prone to grey aphids if they get dry later in the summer. I think that sprouts are just about my favourite vegetable.
