Recommended Posts

I have been very bad, OH had BIRTHDAY CAKE which i have eaten the most of  .

He is away all week so i can live off salads and chicken all week - hopefully redeem myself.

4 mile walk this morning and i might go to the gym later.

Oh dear, its easily done! I cant have one biscuit, it has to be the whole packet! I have recently taken up running to try and keep the couple of stone i lost last summer off! Its so hard but at least if i do some good exercise i can have the odd treat(or ten!).

Ummm, I saw that cake Karen... it was CHOCOLATE  how could you have any left with two growing boys in the house?

Just got back from circuits (didn't see Karen there  ) took it a bit easy after my funny turn on Saturday night, also managed to trip down the stairs at work today and have a sore foot  The good news is that I feel slimmer around the middle. 8):D

Oh thanks,

Feeling ok, still lots of tummy pain, but so much better.

Want to do so much outside, but can't even get any clothes around tummy, stitches out tomorrow, so that should help. Hardest thing is not being able to pick up my 8 month old grandson, but it's only for a few weeks.

Think I need patience to visit.

Get well soon Margaret. Great weight loss but I don't think the 'Twisted Bowel Diet' is for me.

I fell off the wagon for a couple of weeks but am back on track now. My healthy diet is being helped by my joining DD's lent diet which excludes cakes, biscuits, chips, crisps, sweet and basically all the naughty things that I snack on  I actually salivated at the thought of some Maynards Sports Mix that I had stashed in the car. I didn't succumb though :D

I exercise in the back room with the patio door open. This morning a little cat I didn't recognise sidled up to the door and sat and watched me for a while. I think he'd been on his way home and got distracted because he nodded off just sitting there. Then he woke suddenly, stretched and walked off.

I found it quite a distraction

myself, it was quite nice.

One more session to do tomorrow then that's 4 hrs again this week.

o i hate the upside down thing  , do you still have to knock three times on the canoe before

you come back round. I had to do it in a canal :vom:

That's the one! I've been really scared and thought I'd stop for a while after passing my 1* as you have to do a eskimo rescue i think for the 2* ie turn upside down, knock 3 times, then pull yourself up on your rescuers boat. My hubby and son did it on the river in Yalding and did their 1 and 2 at the same time. Yuk! I don't fancy that but will do it when the time comes. I've had members of the club help me with my fear of being trapped and upside down and its going fairly well. Just have to find a boat that fits properly so I can 'hip flick' it properly. I keep picking boats that are big in the cockpit area as I know I can exit quickly and easily. I get very disorientated when I'm upside down and often forget what I'm supposed to be doing

The main aim is not to have to roll/exit by using support strokes instead (so they say) but you really do need to know how to do it I suppose, but its definitely not my favourite thing in the world. I've even had nightmares about being trapped upside down. :? I try to think of it as exercise in a way and learning something new so keeping the old brain working.

I'm not planning on doing too much white water kayaking  nice gentle rivers would be more my thing.
