Lewis
Got a new (to me) VW Polo! Went to see it at 2, went for a quick drive and decided I wanted it. Rushed to the bank with ma friends, sorted car insurance and went and picked it up at half 3! Insurance was £1900 for my policy with Mom on it which is stuppud but what you have to pay at 20 with no No-Claims. Had to go and tax it (£215) + fill it up with petrol so spent nearly £3000 I love it! Been driving round picking everyone up just 'cos I can, love the freedom already The only bad thing is the driver electric window motor is gone but apparently its about £20 to replace so not too bad! Purplemaniacs
DS has a Polo and loves it It was also new to him, OH gets some bits off of ebay for a fraction of the cost of new and so far they have all worked and sorted out slight issues like number plate light bulb and other things that can cost lots to get repaired. chuckmum6
Much better than a Rover! My first car was a bright yellow Polo, nicknamed the 'Flying Banana', my second car was also a Polo, since then I've owned many VW, they are great cars - well done ! craftyhunnypie
Lewis, that is one nice looking car - for a first car!!! It's really clean & tidy inside too! Now don't go littering it with McDonalds cartons will you? Bet you'll be waxing it at the weekend. No keeping you in now. Just remember always drive safely & no drink & driving, not even a drop! Congratulations!! Emma.x
Lewis
Mother said to the man "Oh it'll be covered in farm mud next week so doesn't matter if its scratched..." I told her off The outside probs won't be clean 'cos it's effort to wash but I'll (try to) keep the inside clean! Always just have coke if am driving like we did tonight, don't see the point in halving a half, would rather not have any - its driving the day after going out that I don't think about! keyhole kate
Congratulations Lewis VW's are lovely little cars YD had her heart set on a VW Lupo in lime green (fantasia) not that many around, easy to find and they hold there prices but we managed to find one suitable for her in October and it is aptly named the flying frog Happy driving
Charlottechicken
Lovely car, Lewis! I am a bit biased as a Rover 25 driver, but if it wasn't right for you then that's what matters You can get a great set of interior mats from Amazon for less than £15, I had some for Christmas, they fit any car too! Take care out there now!

Sammiboo
nice solid little car lewis... redwing i think the high tax is due to the age of the car. my grande punto was £120 tax but has now dropped to £90 good luck motoring lewis, its expensive being a car owner but your freedom is priceless
Lewis
No name as yet! Have just been driving everywhere in it, just cos I can. 60 miles and just over 1 bar of petrol so not too bad, that distance to work but that'd be motorway driving. Have bought a car charger + cradle and getting the solar Bluetooth handsfree, Omlet chicken car sticker and air fresheners .... I want a Dancing Elvis, Nodding Churchill or Furry dice... or all 3! Gonna be the classiest car around I got the RAC breakdown kit as a Christmas present, already a jack + spare tyre in the car. All the bulbs are working atm. Just the drivers electric window and back windscreen washer don't work - the pump/motor sounds so apparently it might be blocked. Have got a drivers car mat and saw 2 lots reduced in Asda (£6 for 4 mats!) but think they were too big.

Lewis
The boot is really deep! Normally go and buy a few bales of Cushionbed at a time, reckon will get 5 or 6 in with the seats folded down!
