surfer_chicken
I was able to check the results of two of my four a levels at 6am. I got what I needed for my offer, I'm just waiting to get the other two results from school at 8:30am and to see UCAS track (to see if I got my uni place) at 8am. Fingers crossed! Good luck to everyone else awaiting results- and families too! Lets hope we'll all be celebrating tonight

Willow
Congrats to everyone, so nice to hear about people getting the results they need. Another week until GCSE results for my elder son. I feel slightly sick with anticipation when I think about it, mostly due to memories of my own results even though it was such a long time ago ED fortunately has worked harder and much better school. Olly
Wow, congratulations to your ES ChuckyMama - you must be very proud! Good luck to all those awaiting results. It's hmm-hmm years ago, but yes I remember it well! Even worse was the professional exam I took some years later, the results were published in the Times or Telegraph, and the only way you could find out was to buy the paper as soon as the shop opened and sit and read through columns of small print. I hope you've all got the grades you were looking for.
sadietoo
Just to add my good wishes to all those who achieved what they wanted at A Level. Many congratulations to Chucky Mama's son, you must be very proud. I also just wanted to add that to any of those who didn't get what they were hoping for, or are finding today difficult, remember it may feel like the end of the world today, but it isn't, it's just a temporary setback and in my experience something even better often turns up when things appear to go wrong ! xxx

It was the best thing that could have happened. I loved Bangor, I gained my independence and I met my OH there. So things can turn out much better than expected! And ES got into Reading Uni today! Sadly my son didn't get what he was hoping for, but I will show him these pages when he gets back from his college so that he knows others are telling him it's not the end of the world too. Sorry to hear that he didn't get what he was hoping for. I am a great believer that things happen for a reason. I am sure that things will fall into place in a different way and that he will just take a different path to where he is meant to me
