I used to use Decleor, but just couldnt justify the expense, so as previously said now use Liz Earl.

The clense and polish is propably the best face wash I have ever used, do use the Super Concentrate products which are a little more expensive, but on my old lady skin works a treat.

Have tried the Elemis Pro Collogen, wonderful results but way to expensive.

I've been using Boots Botanics moisturiser since I was about 16, I used to have really dry flaky skin on my forehead. I'm too scared to try anything else as I have slightly sensitive skin on my face. The last time I bought a pot I did get the anti-wrinkle one, now that I'm the grand old age of 32, rather than the bog standard day cream one.

I don't even ownany foundation type makeup, so moisturiser is the only thing I put on it. Although I do use either Tesco or Lidl own brand cleansing wipes every morning, mostly to take off my eyeliner & mascara

Superdrug do a hot cloth cleanser with muslin cloth at only £5.99 which gets good reviews. They also do a vitamin E version. Think it's even been nearer £3 when on offer.

I use this- the vitamin E version and I can highly recommend it :D

I use their version of Bio Oil too (which is much cheaper than the real stuff) at bedtime underneath moisturiser.

I like Liz Earle cleanse and polish but, like others, have found a cheaper alternative in Boots No7 (especially when there are vouchers available). I will look out for the Superdrug version, so thanks for the heads up on that! I have a friend who is rather cheap and gives me her Clinique freebies as Christmas presents, so I am working through a few top end sample sizes at the mo, of exfoliator and eye cream. I tend to favour really cheap moisturisers and am using the cheapest Boots one at present, it has spf in it and I have found this does make a difference to my skin.

water and Simple shower gel here

Every now and again when I unearth my favourite Garnier 'Pure' moisturiser from the mess in my car I will slap some on

I did go through a phase of using a facial oil I bought at a French spa and that made my skin amazing - will have to have a rummage for that

I am so envious of people who can have a shower, and not need to put any moisturiser on. I have to moisturise my skin seizes up and is sore and itchy. My mum never used cream on her face, just of the. Soap and water brigade. I usually use Nivea Q10 when it's on offer. Currently I think it's an Olay one. Always with SPF as my skin reacts to sunlight. I would love to be able to afford Clinique, Dermatologica etc but sadly not yet.

Shower water followed by sweet almond oil from Gracefruit (does she still find time to come on here?)....which can look like an oil slick unless I pad off the excess  ...but my skin is good on the whole, just the odd breakout (usually stress related) which at the ripe old age of 21 (x2  ) is annoying but liveable.

I used to used other "proper" moisturisers, but developed a reaction to most of them, no such nasties with the oil after 2+ years....

I have to use a barrier between my lips & any gloss or lipstick, & have found the only thing which doesn't have me dry, cracked & painful for days afterwards is the Neutrogena one..and their handcream is my favourite for hands and feet....

Water only here as well, and if I remember some Nivea Daily Essentials as it can feel a bit dry these days. I love the Nivea, feels rich, nicely scented and sinks in beautifully, and it is SPF 15 (and only £5).

If I need to take makeup off I use the recipe that I learned on here a couple of years ago - mixture of olive oil and castor oil, scented with a bit of clary sage, massaged in and wiped off with a hot facecloth. I'm lucky my skin is still quite good for a post menopausal middleaged woman! (except for the first time in absolutely ages I have a huge zit on my cheek - am sure it's because I've been lazy and used some make up remover wipes recently, I thought they were doing OK, but obviously not!):lol:

I think where in Britain you live makes a massive difference. In the Lake District for example you absorb and shimmer in spa water however in London the water is 'ard as nails, wot choo lookin at darlin' and stabs you with little itchy stabby things.

The reason Londoners get London allowance is actually to pay for our beauty regimes because otherwise the water would make us hard and unwilling to talk. It's what makes us so smiley and friendly on the tubes.

Intrigued by the sound of your Cotswolds Lavender body butter thingy Patsylabrador, do you mail order it? I've nearly come to the end of my pot of Lush Dream Cream, which is also very good, but I fancy a change.....

Thanks for the link...I like the fact that delivery is free too...pot on its way to me!

Completely unrelated to skincare, but we too have extremely hard water here and I have just this morning discovered the best thing ever for cleaning our manky shower screens; (well I say "our" but really I mean the ones in the main bathroom which is shared by our lovely children :vom: who never squeegee after a shower although repeatedly asked to ); I tried Viakal, Limelite (Vinegar is useless on our industrial strength limescale) Cif Easy Lift (the smell of which I have realised gives me a headache and makes me feel sick!) nothing would touch it....Bar-Keepers Friend , applied with one of those sponge things which is scrungee one side and sponge the other did a fantastic job.. a bit messy to rinse off, and I was a bit worried about scratches as I had to scrub quite hard, but there are none...for the first time for ages I'm really pleased with the results.Yes I know I really should get out more :D

Cleanse and polish. I found the Boots No 7 almost the same though, and it sounds like other brands have their own versions too :? The skin tonic is nice and smells divine, but nothing else really agreed with my skin. I couldn't absorb the moisturisers and the sun lotion is very thick. The aftersun is mainly aloe vera though, so very soothing.

I too try and keep skincare as natural as poss and cleanse (when I remember, which is not often  ) with witchazel with a few drops of rosewater and lavender oil - all available from your local chemist very cheaply! Have used this mix for donkeys years and, having tried Neal's Yard and other naturally sort of creams, I buy moisturiser from someone on E bay who makes and sells their own stuff. Its pretty good too tho I seem to need more as I get older  !

Bodywise, I use Jergens Naturals Acai but I think that has now been discontinued as I can't seemto find it anywhere  just getting to the last of 6 tubes bought as a job lot on......E bay!

Apparently there is a chemical (naturally occuring,of course!) that occurs in chocolate which is excellent for the skin when applied internally. :liar:

Barkeepers Friend is amazing stuff, but I had never thought to try it on the shower glass.

I am intrigued that do many love the Liz Earle range & may look into trying some out. So,what specific items from the range are recommended?

I used to use Liz Earle many moons ago but they've since changed the formulation. If it was me I'd try the Superdrug one first. Tonnes cheaper and lots of reviews I've read people have swapped to it from Liz Earle.

I thought I'd try something more technical for my skincare based on this thread in case I was doing myself a disservice but it didn't work out. I haven't tried the Liz Earle range because I didn't like the packaging so it wasnt a very good experiment.

My skin did not look radiant and plumper but old, tired and liney. I've gone back to the oil and body butter. I haven't said which product I used because it would unfair as it was more about my skin's reaction. I think.

I tried the Liz Earle stuff recently. I read what her website said about Rosacea (which I have) and I chose my products accordingly. I also noted the changes necessary when using the cleaser - not using the hot muslin cloth, for example.

The first time I used it, I thought my face was on fire. This has happened to me once before when my friend bought me a facial using products for very sensive skin, so I knew it would subside eventually and it did. However, I haven't quite managed to steel myself for a second go yet, although I will do... and this time I'll use just the moisturiser not the cleanser to see if that's better.

It does smell lovely.
