Redwing Posted February 18, 2013 Share Posted February 18, 2013 It was my local show yesterday, I am on the committee so pretty much had to attend it was lovely not to get up at some unearthly hour and drive a hundred miles - the venue is only ten minutes away The show was brilliant, a good number of entries with some people coming quite a distance, there was a small trade stand and a couple of craft stands which was nice All of my birds won prize cards and won all of the classes they were entered for Psycho bird won Champion Rare Breed. Sumatras are a new breed for me, I bought this bird from a well respected breeder last year and look forward to breeding from this lovely bird this year. Keeping those wonderful feathers as undamaged as possible has been a nightmare, he has a massive pen all to himself! My barred Wyandotte trio won Champion Trio which I was pleased with as the quality in the trio classes was high They werent very obliging for the photographer though! Hayleybug Posted February 20, 2013 Share Posted February 20, 2013 beautiful, i do love dottes! especially barred ones. they look like they were lined up trying really hard to be good for the pic and then one of them said something and the boy has just turned his head to tell them off and the photographer chose that moment to take the pic! love it! wish i had room for more and for a boy to keep them in line...
