The Dogmother
It has been lovely recently, but rather humid by the end of the day. We're due heavy storms tonight, mind you, the last lot they predicted never appeared.
Groovychook
We missed out on the last storms too I hope they materialise this time. Been very hot and sunny here too- my hay fever has belatedly gone into overdrive! We had some rain overnight and it's cloudier this morning. Valkyrie
Forget the wilting - I'm melting! Already slurped a litre all in all of water, coconut water and about to have a coffee!!! This morning the clouds looked like the aftermath of an overnight storm - it looked a little menacing to say the least. Thankfully it hadn't and just as well - I left OH's jumper out on the washing line! There were a few spots of very, very light rain in Aldershot but not enough to quench a bee's thirst!!! Very hot now and as usual it's windy.
sjp
it's humid and muggy here we've had a bit of rain but not enough to clear the air or lay the dust for any length of time
mullethunter
Really muggy this morning and then a heavy thundery shower just before lunch. A bit brighter, cooler and breezier now.
The Dogmother
We've had lots of dark cloud, high winds abut only a couple of sprinkles of rain. Much brighter now.
Valkyrie
Seems to have been a light smattering of rain last night - it was on the greenhouse roof. Didn't notice any wet when picking strawberries though. Today hot and humid but it had a bit of light relief with the wind.
Groovychook
It's hot and stuffy here. Just been for a walk and spotted a great slab of grey cloud approaching us. We could do with a bit of rain before the forcasted heatwave arrives next week.

Groovychook
No rain yesterday but we've had some showers overnight. Still raining now, dull and feeling much fresher.
Daphne
I think the UK is going to experience our heatwave mid-week. High 30s yesterday, may hit 40 today or tomorrow I am watering twice a day, and retiring to the cool of the house for the rest of the time. Its the one time I am pleased I don't have the chooks to worry about
The Dogmother
Showers in the night, and heavy rain this morning. Currently 13.9deg, rain has abated, so I'm off out to clean and pack away the spare eglu now that the newbies are integrated with the rest of the flock. I am hoping that it will brighten up and we're hoping to get to the last day of a local steam rally.

The Dogmother
We made it to the steam rally; cloudy and muggy, few spots of rain. It's quite warm now... we codul do with a storm before that heatwave in the week.
soapdragon
Checked the forecast at 6.20am before setting off for the boot sale....no rain till 11.00am so merrily set off (as merrily as one can be at 6.30am). Drizzled on the way there but the sky looked clear so decided to stick with. A few spits and spots around 9.00am then full blown rain by 10.15 Packed up and came home. Overcast all afternoon! What is it with weekends ?
Groovychook
Blisteringly hot here with a warm breeze. Hear it's going to be even hotter tomorrow...
The Dogmother
Stunning here too. Just been out to look at a local golf club as a venue for a work event; it is on a pretty high hill, and we were buzzed by a couple of Merlin copters. I think they use it as a landmark on some exercise. We are very near Silverstone, so there are traffic problems from that, plus various works in town, so work has advised folks to work from home for the rest of the week.. Sadly I live close enough not to use that as an excuse
mullethunter
Scorchio! Too hot for working in the house but lovely for taking a break in the garden
The Dogmother
28deg as I left work, and coming out of the office was like stepping off a plane in a hot country walked the dogs in the shade, along a stream this evening. Luckily our house is lovely and cool inside.
