Spare room

Recommended Posts

Love my kids but after all these years I have a spare room. I claimed first dibs years ago and said it would be my room. At first I was going to make it into a very feminine guest room but I discourage that kind of behaviour and so it would be wasted. Then I thought I would have a craft room but I'm not really into crafting and although I have a lot of sock wool it's not enough to fill a room.

So- I've made myself a gym. It's painted white and blue with a pine cabinet. I've got an exercise bike and the treadmill comes tomorrow. There's room for the wii fit and my walking/cycling DVD s. I wanted it to be feminine so I've added baskets of Hot Stones, lavender and soaps and a bale of white towels. It's a mix between a gym and a spa. The room is south facing so bright and sunny and I love it.......and of course I'll share it. If the men treat it nicely.

It's my favourite room to be in.

I have visions of your spare room - and the attic space - bursting at the seams! Cake crumb fallout all over the neighbourhood! Now if you let your menfolk in there to exercise, it will pong to high heaven and possibly even a peg on your nose won't disguise the aroma! Enough to put everyone off cake and cuppas!
