Space Chick
Hubby and I are celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary this week, which is tin. Hubby has always had a love of old London Buses, so I asked if he'd trust me to organise our anniversary. He agreed, but was clueless to my plans. What I did was a hire a 1950's vintage RT London bus for the day. It picked us up at 10am, drove us to Penarth seaside where we had a 10 course taster menu in a fine dining restaurant (Michelin starred chef James Sommerin) and then the bus brought us home. When I told hubby that the "taxi" had arrived this morning (I'd told him a taxi was picking us up at 10am), he stepped out, saw the huge double decker bus at the top of our suburban cul de sac drive and his jaw dropped He was in shock for about 20 miles, then was close to tears, then was soooo happy. Thought you may like to see some pics of us on the bus, outside the bus, at the sea front and at the end of our meal. It really has been a perfect way to mark ten years of marital bliss

gavclojak
What a lovely thing to do for him. He is a lucky chap and you both look super cute. Happy anniversary It reminds me of a Xmas gift I got my OH...he had just descovered diving so I booked him a diving holiday to Egypt on his own. I got a large box and filled it with sand, flip flops, a chocolate penguin bar that had a scuba diving penguin on it, a toy camel and his holiday tickets....his face was priceless...and I was so excited to give it to him. gavclojak
Oh I think the one of you both in front of the bus is cute:) I found that the hardest part too, I kept wanting to tell him, especially when he had a bad day at work. On my birthday a few years later I git 3 night in Iceland including a northern lights tour....super happy with that!!

Space Chick
Happy Anniversary...what a fab way to mark 10 years! A hard one to beat tho...thinking cap on now for 15 We don't normally celebrate our anniversaries in as impressive a style.... Usually we just get a takeaway and a bottle of wine I reckon the next one we will celebrate will be our 25th I've told OH he can organise something for that one. He's said, after yesterday, he's feeling the pressure already In fairness, hubby can also be great at surprises too for example: * He proposed on the steps of Sydney Opera House, down on one knee, ring ready. * He took me on a flight over the Grand Canyon after we got married in Vegas. * He took me back to Vegas for my 40th birthday in January So fair play to him, he's a keeper
Blackrocksrock
Wow that was a great surprise - looks like it was a good day also - he is a lucky man but looking at his track record he does pretty well too at the surprises - he is definitely a keeper!!
