Chickabee
I'm sorry but some of my girls have started to lay I have 5/6 of them in lay at the moment, although they're not laying every day. I think yours are just enjoying all the lovely greens and love and attention you give them. I feed mine on dry crust and muddy water (not really I save that for my children). Anyway I wanted to send you a big egg wish ** ** . Hope it works
mullethunter
I've got no one laying either luvachicken! I think they might be on strike to try to hurry me up into moving so they can have the WIR they've been promised!

Saronne
I had no eggs for 3 weeks in November/December and had to buy eggs for the first time in 6 years. Three of my eighteen have taken pity on me and are now laying again, so at least I'm sorted for my own use! On a brighter note, the days are getting longer (just!) sjp
I'm suppose to have 4 girls laying out of 18ish one is either laying away or is only laying 2 a month one is laying about 2 or 3 usable eggs a week one is laying about every other day but as she only laid her first egg boxing day I'm letting off with that at the moment the other is on 1 in 3 days but hasn't laid since New years eve but given the fact it sounded like an artillery range here just after midnight I doubt she'll lay much before Wednesday if bonfire fortnight is anything to go by but I've got one pullet that looks like she's more or less ready to lay and a few of the older ones are starting to turn the 'lights on' so here's hopping
PixieDust
From 3 girls I get 1 or 2 eggs a day. Can't tell who is in lay as all the eggs are virtually the same colour. I have seen both Lily and Pixie in the nest box and collected an egg. Both are silent when laying. We have had the song of the egg a couple of times. Technically Winnie should lay green or blue eggs so maybe she isn't in lay yet. Not had any that are anywhere near that colour. Had a yellowy egg once from Lily. dancing cloud
I had no eggs at all from moults in mid-October to Christmas Eve and had to go and buy some . Myrtle gave us a Christmas egg and a few since, Marguerite has now produced a couple of New Year eggs too. Have you tried showing your lot the roasting tin and waving the box of paxo at them ? Guest
My girls went out of lay in the autumn for the longest moult in the history of chickens Due to them all being 4-5 years old I was not expecting any of them to lay again but Daisy (white egg layer) has been trotting in and out of the nest box, still no egg but at least she is going through the motions. I won 6 months supply of eggs in a raffle from the local freeganic farm so I am sorted with eggs The farm is the only place I would consider buying eggs from as the girls are very well treated,

Cat tails
My silly ladies decided to all start laying again on the shortest day of the year, gifting me three eggs! I had hoped they stopped laying, so I don't have to chuck the eggs while I'm worming them, but of course they just kept on laying! I have to say though that they started laying less the last week (finally, you silly pure breeds!). With me being off from work, I turned off the timer that turns on the light in the morning, giving them longer nights. But work started again today, so lights go on at 6:45 again as I'm leaving for work at 7:10. Sorry chooks!
redsunset
Sorry luvackicken! I wouldn't have posted about my girls jumping from 6-12 eggs today if I'd read your post first, lol! Remember you have posh birds while mine are 85% good old hybrid so they maybe don't wait for spring? They will lay fr you soon, as can notice a tiny tad of a difference in the daylight already (ok only about 10 mins) but it's a start? Chickabee
Why do you have to throw away the eggs when you're worming cats tails?
chuckmum6
My posh chooks have been taking it easy since early November, but my Light Sussex has popped a couple out over the last month. My OH was just moaning about my pol Legbars and when I checked the nest box there were , they must have heard him! I was impressed they knew where to lay and have since repeated it, I am hoping I won't need to buy eggs soon, as there are several red faced girls. Cat tails
Because I used a liquid wormer you add to the water, but has a withdrawal period of 1 week. Got that one when I purchased my ladies. Flubenvet is harder to come by here and my chickens don't eat so much, so would be wasting a lot of good food too. Hopefully, if I plan it right, my chicken boarder will worm my chickens again this summer with an equivalent of flubenvet. But so far the liquid wormer did it's job, found loads of white yuck worms in their poo. And I don't have to limit their treats or lock them up for a whole week. Mars
I nearly forgot. I will go and collect the eggs
Cat tails
The treatment requires a repeat after 12 days, so in total two weeks of "lost eggs". I have been treating them to a bit of scrambled egg. And they loved it! Weird creatures they are!
Mars
5 Eggs from 8 laying hens, not bad.
