Any wise knowledge for nibbles for him?

as a snack or meal???

I make allllll his food, and am a massive ananbel Karmel fan and cook.

Hes starting to like Organix Carrot stick crisps [i love them too !]

any ideas what i can make him as healthy treats?

Just wondered if you ladies have anything i can tickle his taste buds with????

Gosh it's only 2 years ago that my littlest was at that stage - but it seems like a lifetime! :D

I think when I had my first, I spent loads of time cooking things specially for him - by the time I was on number 3 - he got what we had! But I do remember doing plain fruit and veg snacks - steamed carrot sticks and cucumber, potato wedges, cooked pasta with grated cheese, toast and marmite! They loved the organix fruit bars (bit expensive but a great treat). As soon as they could manage it I made lots of flapjack sticks with added fruit. Also we went through dishes of dried apricots and raisins, in fact any dried fruit! Used a lot of the Annabel Karmel recipes when they were very little - they still won't eat lentils though

ohh.......... jamie oliver fruit gums are loved in my house

just purify any fruit you have a spread it out on a shallow tray about half an inch thick and bake in the oven for a few hours on a med to lowish heat until it is gummy, wait for it to cool then cut out shapes like stars etc. you can put them in papaer bags and take them with you when you go out. i think jamie puts it in the oven overnight on a low heat but i wouldnt be able to sleep if i left the oven on all night.

the organix crisps and all the other snacks they make are great, i always have something like that in my bag for emergencies.

sweet potato sliced thinly and then put on the griddle makes lovely crisps as well.

The latest diet fad in America is to survive on baby food.:roll:

Trouble is....how many jars?.....you could easily consume 2000 calories that way if you were daft enough.

Edited for daft typo...I think my keyboard is going the same way as Kev's.

F&C - it sounds to me like you have it under control and seth has a really good balanced diet.

I often woryy that Stefan will get bored with the same old food routines he has...but he's happy and healthy enough.

He has porridge with dried fruit every day for breakfast, and usually a slice of toast and a bit of honey. His mid morning snack is usually a bowl of raisins, banana, oranges, grapes (and anything else we have in) Dinner is a sandwich (peanut butter, cheese, egg, salmon, tuna, ham, dairylea) or home-made soup, or pasta and pesto or crackers and cheese. He gets this with a fews bits of cut up salad items, toms, carrots, cucumber etc and a yogurt or fruti puree. Afternoon snack = flapjacks, breadsticks, organix crisps, more fruit, and his tea is always what we have these days.

I love Annabel Karmel, and have made most of her goodies. I think we're very much alike in what we give our boys. I also do a recipe sheet for the week, so I know he's getting his quota of all the right things. When I'm bored with this, I swap with a friend.

Ashley is 13 months and loves Banana, I just peel it now and he eats the whole thing after a bowl of cereal or toast.

Dried fruit is always a fav and he is just getting into Eggy bread as a quick lunch / dinner dependant on what else he has had or is having.

I made 99% of Ash's food but when away or going out I did use and still have for emergencies HIPP Organic jars, He always enjoys them and they are not fed daily so I am happy with the convenience.

We are now begining to eat most meals together so it;s really exciting as we feel like a family rather than a baby and 2 tired parents. We steam or stir fry most of our veg anyway so it's really easy

I could do that diet - I love baby food 8)

How about some toast with taramasalata on, if he loves fish?

Or does that have dairy in it?
