Things to be happy about :-)

Recommended Posts

Great news Kate :D

Unfortunately sometimes a huge row can clear the air and get a lot of stuff out in the open. Its horrible when it happens but it can be for the best.

It sounds like things are all good now so smiles all round :D

Im happy today as im off to pick up some more ex-battery babies at 11 this morning 8)

I'm happy because-

I had a lovely night out last night for a friend's 40th birthday, it was a great opportunity to chat to people I know, and also to meet others for the first time. We were all still chatting outside the pub after closing time for ages!

I have just collected 2 eggs from my chickens- 3 months down the line and it still makes me smile to open up the eglu port and see them sitting there.

i have just discovered that the tomato seeds I'd planted are all sprouting (its the first time ever I've grown tomatoes from seed) I'm so chuffed!

its a nice relaxed morning, no place we have to go unless we choose to. Bliss.

everyone enjoy your Sunday!

:D:D:D:D

I'm happy today because I have children who know their boundaries and consequences and behave appropriately in public (normally!), and I'm very proud of them. Chookiehubbie mowed the lawn at the front yesterday, so the front of the house looks lovely and tidy again.

And young Squidger smiled his first proper smile on Saturday, which warmed my heart and made the sleepless nights melt away in an instant. :D:D

That sounds lovely... think of all those many smiles to come!! Happiness on tap :)

I'm happy today because :

DD4 woke up this morning and I heard her call 'mama, mama', so walked upstairs to find her standing neatly waiting by her bedroom gate, a stuffed dog under one arm, a stuffed fish neatly tucked under the other, looking up at me with the warmest, cheekiest, happiest little smile... irresistable moment, I still smile just thinking about it...

The works in the bathroom are nearly completed... in a few days it will be done, then we'll have the ceiling of it painted and there we will have a beautiful shower room... will be off some time this week to buy luxury towels and dressing gowns to keep in there...

(anybody knows of a very good place to buy really lovely fluffy huge towels?)

I have just spent a few hours tidying the study... still loads to do, but the desks and floor are now clear (it's a huge U shape desk going all around three of the four walls - tons of space for mess!!), so I can enjoy being in the room while tidying the equally huge wall shelves...

I tidied the garden yesterday, and it now looks like a garden where I can sit and enjoy the kids/cats/chooks, rather than looking like the contents of a skip had been accidentally spread all over it...

Not bad at all for a Monday morning...

Happy week everyone :)

Today I am very happy because I have such a lovely bunch of friends - real friends who are always there for me :D . You know who you are :D . Big hugs to you xxx

I'm also happy because the sun is shining (between the showers  ) and I've got my bedroom curtains washed, dried and hanging up again already today and my room smells gorgeous.

I'm happy because OH and I have spent a happy morning painting YD's room. We have painted a gentle lavender colour over the worst Barbie wallpaper that you can imagine

It was a bit of a juggling act because her room is only about 7ft square and she has a high sleeper which was built in the room and can't be turned, so we had to push it backwards and forwards and climb under it all the time. One more coat of paint later and job done, apart from the lovely job of putting everything else back in

I also just had a perfect boiled egg for my lunch, yum :D

I spent a lovely afternoon on the top deck of a double decker bus driving into and out of the city centre with a group of Nursery children (including my youngest son). They were in heaven.

And we went through the bus wash. 3 times :D

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::wink:

OH has brought me a new Mac :D So I have gone from a 12 inch screen to a 24 inch :shock::shock: I think he might be trying to tell me something

We have somebody coming round to view our house

I'm happy because OH phoned up one of my daughter's Brownie leader's to ask if she could take her to Brownie's tonight. The Brownie leader reminded us that it was her Hostess badge tonight

We had a hour to organise

Home baked cakes

A plate of sandwiches

A table decoration

An invitation

An event plan

Get my daughter clean and into her uniform.

and..............

We did it in time :D

Home grown eggs in egg mayonaisse sandwiches

Rock cakes (really really quick to make and v. yummy!)

An invitation card made using a painting she had done a couple of months ago of a bluebell which was on the office wall)

Some bluebells, cowslips and a lovely orange marigold from the garden in a little cream jug as the decoration ..

..........phew

She then told her Brownie leader when she came to pick her up "Mummy wouldn't let Daddy cheat by making the Sandwiches - I did everything myself!"

I've had a little grooming evening, deep conditioned my hair, exfoliated my skin & slapped on a bit of tanning moisturiser for the first time this year :D

It's about time I managed to find some pampering time, & I feel much better for it.

It's the little things.......
