Yolky
We are *nearly* there on our walk in run and so tomorrow will be spent finishing it off (half the roof needs doing, the kickboards, the table/ladder for the eglu and then the fun stuff for the chooks needs to be added) I simply cannot wait. The girls are going to love it. The rest of the weekend will be spent clearing/cleaning the garden. Mowing the grass, and sowing seeds where the eglu once was, getting the base ready for the new shed and also chook watching while they enjoy their new run The weather is supposed to be ok so it should be a good one. How about you, what will you be doing?
Olly
I'd like to spend most of it sleeping ... but Saturday and Monday will be spent on the garden, I hope, although I've also promised to help my friend with her allotment. Sunday I'm going up to Norfolk. Some friends up there are having a barbecue/party at the converted barn where they live, and inviting some of their neighbours as well as friends from London and elsewhere. Some of them are in a band, so they will play, and there's a handful of us from my choir so we've promised to sing a few songs. I didn't fancy camping, so I'll have to stay off the beer, and drive back again at the end of the day. As usual I've got an enormous list of things to do, most of which won't get done! Good luck with finishing the run, Yolky.
Tina C
Your weekends sound more fun than mine - I have packed OH and girl off 'oop north' and plan to catch up on cleaning and other chores in between doing a bit of work But I am quite enjoying the peace and quiet this evening. Stevie
I really need to spend some time taming the various shrubs and trees in my garden so i could do with some dry weather.
Egluntyne
I'd quite like to mow the lawns. It is like the Serengeti out there. There hasn't been a spell without rain long enough to dry it out enough to mow.

AnnieP
Oh good grief... I have a new doggie, who is an absolute sweetie, but rather too "ENTHUSISTIC!" at present..To add to having him (and Molly), I am looking after a friend's collie whilst he spends the next week in France. My brother arrives tomorrow, with wife, two children and their dog also....Am I mad or what? Three adults in the house, two children and four dogs, plus my class rabbit... not to mention the donks and chooks outside....

abwsco
Hubby has been busy these past couple of days installing our £1 bargain kitchen doors from B & Q so it looks like I'm going have to clean our kitchen window and venetian blind as they're letting the kitchen down now The blind is going to have to be cleaned "in situ" as it's a mare to get back once it's been taken down. Also need to clean out the coop and hopefully spend some time with our new (still un-named ) new girls. We also want to use the pressure washer and clean the drive and patio. I've also got loads of washing to do so am hoping for some nice weather!
Guest
We've spotted a garage sale to go to tomorrow... James is going out with his Dad on Sunday Then there's the bootsale, maybe the garden show, maybe some gardening. I'll bet there is no doing ANY of the jobs on our "list".... Cooks
oooh I didn't know you got a new puppy AnnieP , or did I?? I dont think so?! I have and I can sympathise, as you know I have one and she's a madam, so Monday.. yes .. thats her innoculation day and she has been given a free voucher from the nice vets to have a microchip, which I dont think she'll like too much. They said.. if you have both her innocs done you get free voucher, well I was hardly going to only have one set of them was I! So that was my little bargain this week I guess. Hopefully will get sometime to spend in the garden afterwards as the pond is being overgrown by the surrounding plants and I need to save it. Cate in NZ
I hope you all have a lovely, sunny Bank Holiday weekend No Bank Holiday on this side of the world unfortunately, but we had a big (too big ) party on Friday night, 50 teenagers, loud music and strobe lighting in our garage to celebrate Seb's GCSE results . Today it's finally stopped raining, so after completing the post party clear up we went to the local market for our fruit and veg, then made the most of the lovely Spring like weather by taking a long walk around one of the many gorgeous lakes around here. Fair blew the old cobwebs away, but I feel so much better for all that fresh air and exercise Sunday will be the usual mix of housework and ironing ready for work & school again on Monday
AnnieP
No bank holiday Kate! That will seem strange! Loopyloo, Sid isn't a puppy, but a two year old rescue. I'll try to get a photo in at some stage. Good luck with the pond taming! Anne. Cleaning venetian blinds.... Hope you don't end up with shredded hands. Pengy, enjoy the garage sale. Everyone else, the weather looks promising! Have a good one!

Karen & co.
Plans for this weekend include OH and various volunteers (who want to play with the digger ) taking up the lawn and collection of broken slabs from by the back door, digging down various amounts, relaying a bit of drain, and then preparing it to lay new much bigger patio It will be mud glorious mud by the back door for what I think will be weeks/months even without rain Anyone able to cope with a rather deranged woman preparing to run away from home chanting her mantra of "It will be worth it, it will be worth it......."? hillfamily
I'm attacking the back garden - it's all grown so well this year (must be all the chicken poop compost ) that it now resembles a jungle and there are areas that you can't get through
Cinnamon
My Saturday has been one big barrel of fun so far Hubby had to go to eye trauma for a follow up appointment in Reading at 10, & its the festival. So,I had to drop him off, drive back through town & drop my daughter & her friend off at the Festival shuttle bat point. Then I had to get myself to the Doctors for 11.30 as I have a kidney infection....that was in Henley. Then back through Reading to pick Hubby back up Girls need picking back up from the shuttle boat at midnight - ish, & hubby can't drive because of his eye All that & I am on an alcohol ban because of antibiotics. I was planning on clearing out the hen pen,& have people waiting for the waste via freecycle, but my back aches too much. Grump, grump, grump. Goosey Lucy
Today we went for lunch in Peel at Davisons cafe and ice cream parlour. They serve the best local ice cream. Then we went to Castletown to watch the annual Tin Bath Championships. Unfortunately it started raining just as the fun was getting under way but we all had such a good time watching people on zip wires trying to land in a floating tyre in the harbour, 'fly' off the end of the jetty, paddle a team of 6 people backwards in a snake of tractor innertubes and race in fabulously decorated tin baths that we stayed for an hour. The boys didn't complain about the cold and wet once (I am so proud as I was freezing). On the way home we stopped in Douglas for a spot of geocaching. This is OH's new hobby to get us to explore the island and wherever else we may be. It involves unravelling a simple or more complicated puzzle/riddle to obtain GPS co-ordinates which lead you to a cache or treasure hiding place. There is a log book to record your visit and there are often items to swop. ES thinks its great, we have just set our first geocoin off on its travels, hopefully it will make it to Japan and then return to the island. It sounds a bit geeky but it gets us going out and about in all weathers . No plans for tomorrow yet, we'll see what the weather brings. Sorry for the long post
Olly
wow, the geocaching sounds brilliant! Is there a website or something about this? My weekend has NOT gone according to plan. No jobs done, and it looks like rain so the gardening/grass-cutting/chook cleaning probably won't happen today either.
