The Weather Thread

Recommended Posts

There is too much of a mind on health and safety these days  We are lucky that we have a fun loving and very child savvy head at my YD's school who knew that the children wouldn't settle on Monday until they had got some snow play under their belts :D

It is positively tropical here today +2.5 degrees, I even managed to get the Eglu tray cleaned, yesterday it was frozen solid with a softie egg welded to it  We still have some frozen snow lying about though.

Last night we had a covering of frost and -8 when we went to bed. At 7.30 this morning it was -10 :shock: luckily no frozen pipes as our insulation is so poor

The heating boiler (oil!) has been on constantly trying to heat the house and annex, but can only manage to get it to 16 degrees. Just lit the woodburner as MiL coming out of hospital today following eye op yesterday. It will seem very cold to her having been in a stuffy hot hospital.

Hi Everyone

Todays weather in Preesall near Blackpool has been mild, temperatures above freezing and light rain all day.

Dark at 8 30 am and dark at 4 30 pm this evening.

How has the weather been in your neck of the woods today wherever in the world you are?

Best regards for 2009.

Ian & Valerie
