Jools
I'd love to see a bigger Eglu but I'd agree with Lesley too that a couple of smaller ones can be more flexible than one big one. Though one big eglu and maybe a small (and cheap) broody coop might be another idea. I just love window shopping!!!
ubereglu
It's a year now since we saw the prototype I didn't see the prototype at all.

Cinnamon
I must admit that even I, who has a MK3 promised to me as a late 40th birthday pressie,is beginning to wonder if I actually need or want a bigger Eglu at the moment. Maybe I will use my credit to get a MK2 one in a better colour instead.......& a couple of new pairs of shoes! However,I am really looking forward to seeing what new design features Omlet have come up with for the MK3
Egluntyne
It's a year now since we saw the prototype What features were in the prototype and how big was it?
Cinnamon
Last I heard (I spoke to James a few months ago),he mentioned 2 nesting boxes, possible plugs to stop nesting box sleeping/brooding, & maybe up to 8 hens....................but this was a while ago so things may have changed. Not sure how that compares to Clares veiwing of the prototype (do you think they need any volunteers to test run it? ) He also said that they were looking at Feb as a possible launch date. Lesley
I was supposed to be testing it about a year ago - but nothing happened and it is being tested elsewhere - that's why we had to buy some small wooden sheds in the end. We've needed the flexibility anyway.
The Dogmother
We were sworn to secrecy, but James seems to have told Sarah most of the details. The prototype that we saw didn't have the eglu styling that you'd expect (they'll iron that out), but was for around 8 birds, with nesting boxes on each side and a ramp up to the house. Cinnamon
Oh no, I hope I haven't spoken out of turn, but he didn't mention a need to keep it secret In fact he was very enthusiastic about it I am worried now that I have gone & blown the suprise.................... The Dogmother
I wouldn't worry sarah, I don't think it isn't stuff that people don't already know. I think the original due date was sometime last summer, so it's over-run somewhat.
Guest
And these snippets keep people interested! I saw the prototype too, a year ago, but I don't remember being sworn to secrecy! I haven't said much anyway, fortunately!

The Dogmother
It's been so long in development and launching that lots of us have gone off the boil about it now, so I'd think that they'd be glad of any advanced publicity Sarah

Hellcat
Vagueness is prized as an art form in the Omlet office - no information as yet....the usual info 'no launch date as yet' and a very frustrated me.....

Helly Welly
color=indigo][/color]I emailed Barbara on the 29th January asking when the mark 3 is available as i can't keep up with the demand for our eggs at the moment. She replied, and i quote, "It's in production at the moment and should be ready for release in the next month or two. If you keep an eye on our website, an announcement will be placed as soon as it's ready for sale. Fingers crossed that it should be only a matter of weeks now. I'm afraid I don't have a definite date for you but it shouldn't be too much longer. The team are making sure that everything works absolutely perfectly so that no modifications are needed. So, still quite vague and to be honest i can't wait any longer. A purple mark 2 for me then!

Cinnamon
I would like one where the grey bit (the base) is a nice bright colour too. If they did a range, they could be interchangeable
