sandyhas3chucks
No but we lit a fire Thursday night! And I but the halogen sunshine on a wet poorly girl the other eve, (but that doesn't count! )

Guest
HEATING??????? Goodness - last year I pledged not to have it on before January. This year I'm aiming for February!!!! Was toasty warm in my kitchen this morning (that Aga IS worth the money!) Of course we had breakfast in Mums conservatory dining room - which was cold enough to put a calor heater on
Griffin
I contemplated it this afternoon but figured it'd be cheaper to just jump into bed under the duvet and watch a film on the laptop
redhotchick
Me! Me! Me! I'm nesh! I did think of starting up this thread myself as I guiltily put the heating on for an hour t'other morning! jlo
Me! Me! Me! I'm nesh! I did think of starting up this thread myself as I guiltily put the heating on for an hour t'other morning! But I thought "Well it is September!" Who will be last I wonder! I bet there are people on here wondering what "nesh" means! I can honestly say that the heating hasn't even been contemplated yet. However, I did put on my sheepskin boots yesterday and lovely and snuggly they were too!
Lesley
I know what 'nesh' means - Carl comes from Cheshire - I'd never heard of it before I met him though.
Helly Welly
I put it on at lunchtime after getting fed up with being unable to warm up. It just seems to have been really chilly today. DD has been chilly at home too so i know it's not just me. I'll switch it off on Monday before OH gets back from New York. He's going shopping tomorrow in temperatures of 28 degrees. It's not fair And what does nesh mean???
Lesley
Poorly, not 100%....
bluekarin
I haven't but my hubby has put on his fan heater in his office as his little tootsies got cold aww bless My son however a few weeks ago was sitting in the living room with just shorts on, heater on FULL BLAST and the back door wide open! He was cold which was why the heater was on He got some clothes on pretty darn quickly I can tell you.

redhotchick
Where I'm from the term "nesh" is used to mean "unusually susceptible to cold"

chick wiggle
Nope, not yet, although I seriously considered it this morning having a shower a 5am! It WAS cold then
Sunshine
No heating here either. I have got my fluffy winter slippers on now and i'm having a hot water bottle in bed tonight as i get really cold feet. TBH i don't think heating makes much difference in my house, it makes no difference in my room as i don't have a radiator. We have an AGA so the kitchen is always warm. ..lay a little egg for me
No way! OH would have a fit if we put it on before we are all wearing 3 jumpers, have the log burner going and the rayburn. We haven't even lit the log burner or rayburn yet. Year before last we didn't have it on at all. Last year only a couple of times.
Egluntyne
I lit the fire. It is soooooo cold here.
abwsco
NO WAY is it going on now! I have had to put some socks on though and as my feet were still cold I had my sheepskin slippers on for a bit. BTW nesh just means that it's feeling cold here.
