Chook n Boo Mum
Beautiful Sha, How old are they? I'm really warming to Pekins. He told me 8-9 weeks but told Redwing 11-13...but he had loads of chooks & RW said he could easily have been confused by them .....goody 2 more Pekins I have no idea how old they are....Blossom was CoF so no idea with her.....Clover, Jasmine & Copper could be 17 weeks though Clover is very red in the comb & could be older..and Oak & Lavender could be 8-13 weeks, though they are so small I think younger rather than older...do you agree Tasha I can't wait for the frizzle feathers to fill out a bit, but she's lovely as she is I fell for Freakin Pekins partridge Pekins when I was their "holiday auntie" and Craftyhunnypie's Spongebob stole my heart ages ago...and atsw's Licorice is adorable..........yep I'm smitten too Sha x
Plum
Little beauties, would they mix with hybrids happily? Partridge are beautiful
Janty
My pekins mix fine with the others but intros have to be taken very slowly.
Chook n Boo Mum
Not sure, that's why I've collected Blossom a few friends of her own size....Palmer07 is mixing her big & little 'uns at the mo, and I think Janty has a mixture in her WIR (ha she's just posted to confirm this )...my 3 black x-breeds were all happily mixed with big chooks, little chooks, turkeys, geese, ducks.......I'm just not sure how my big girls would have accepted one small girl given Snowdrop's less than friendly reaction whenever Blossom has ventured out (for that read escaped !!!) of her run...her run is attached to the outside of the WIR so they see each other all the time, so maybe one day I'll be able to let them all out together Sha x
Woodcat
hey my pekins have flocked volantarily with my dorking at the mo and during the day mix with my hybrids so they can mix. They also look at almost the same age as mine when i got them which was about 9 weeks. They are utterly gorgeous Beth
Falkor
Palmer07 is mixing her big & little 'uns at the mo, Sha x Yep....they are all free ranging with Omlet netting seperating them at the moment. They all seem very un-interested in eachother except for Treacle the little black pekin......she took an interest in Brandy the LF Buff Orp. I popped indoors to grap a drink and came back out to find treacle holding onto brandy's comb, little feet dangling about 12 inches from the ground Brandy just stood there letting her hang on! No blood so ok.
cluckingmad
Treacle is obviously a fiesty little lady then Poor Brandy, but I guess extra cuddles were had later on
