docsquid
I wish mine had that level of sense. They go mad asking to be let out, rush out and then regret it and get into the shed or under the trailer! I think it is the principle of the thing - they don't actually want to go out, they are just objecting to the fact that the door is closed. Yours are much more sensible than mine. atsw
Snap . I left the WIR door open for my lot this afternoon. One and a half hours later, and not one of them had set foot outside the run. Just stood at the door, as if to say "You are kidding, right?" Andrew
Seagazer
Great photos - only one of mine ventured out of the WIR and that was only a couple of paces then rushed back in. I wanted to shout 'chicken' but it seemed pointless

Tutti Frutti
LOVELY! Hens and house, that is! My crew are the opposite of Jim Trott (Vicar of Dibley)... instead of "NO NO NO Yes", I've had "YES YES YES! No"! So three happy to come out to play whilst Roxy pottered around in the WIR. "Come on, stop eating it, I've cleared away loads more than you" "Please let me out Mum and I'll clean your wellies" "I know you've hidden that plant around here somewhere" Hasn't my ex-barnie Tallulah (the snow eating welly cleaner) feathered up beautifully? All except her belly, which is still completely bald And Ursula (the plant finder) is still missing some flight feathers so still looks a bit tatty but has lots of the downy ones underneath Sorry Redwing! Hijacked your thread

whoopsie
Loving the pics! I had Comedy Hens when the snow fell for the second time - they came belting out of the Eglu when I opened the door in the morning, ran down the run towards the door, then literallly skidded to a halt as soon as they recognised the white stuff!!!! They are not impressed.
